Brave 10: Kamanosuke Yuri

The leader of a group of brigands, Kamanosuke Yuri is a bloodthirsty individual who enjoys killing people. Despite constantly proclaiming he is is male, his feminine appearance causes a lot of confusion about his gender. Even more confusing is the fact that he later develops a crush on Kirigakure Saizo, the leader of the Sanada Ten Braves. During an illusion, Yuri is portrayed as a princess who is in love with a male servant.

I was actually hoping this was a cosplay of Kenshin, but of course, he probably wouldn’t wear nail polish, would he? This character is very interesting though, isn’t he? I guess characters who are confusing gender-wise are very popular!

Naruto: Shippuden: Pain, Konan, Deidara, and Sasori

The original founder of the Akatsuki, Yahiko, entrusted the pursuit of peace to his childhood friend, Nagato. In his grief over his friend’s death, Nagato came to believe that the world would never willingly consent to peace and that the Akatsuki’s previous pacifist approaches were futile. Instead, Nagato concluded that the world needed to experience catastrophic death and destruction so that it could never again stomach the idea of conflict. He then formed the “Six Paths of Pain”, integrating Yahiko’s corpse so that he could symbolically continue leading the Akatsuki.

Quite an impressive cosplay group! I only noticed one minor detail here: Isn’t Konan’s flower supposed to be on the other side of her head? Other than that though, the effects and composition is really good! Thank to Jason for sending this in!

Initially non-sociable and solitary, Misaki Mei is a quiet girl who appears to dislike having students around her. She even told Sakakibara Kouichi to stay away from her, but as time passed, she became accustomed to his presence and eventually befriended him. She does warn him, however, to be careful since the “curse” may have already begun.

Very little is known about Saito’s past, but it is said that he is the first-born of a prestigious samurai clan in Edo. However, being strongly left-handed left him unable to learn their clan’s sword techniques, but he compensated by learning and mastering the Iaijutsu. Saito was falsely accused of murdering a fellow clansman despite being challenged to a duel and was later exiled from his clan.

Hunter x Hunter: Chrollo Lucifer and Kurapika

As the sole survivor of the Kurta Clan, Kurapika had been seeking the Phantom Troupe to avenge his family’s death. Kurapika’s village and his people were massacred by the Phantom Troupe for their valuable Scarlet Eyes, a trait exclusive to the Kurta Clan which is considered to be the most gorgeous color in the world. Because of this, there is high demand to obtain the eyes as they are treated as a rare jewel by flesh collectors. Kurapika seeks to obtain each and every one of them, in order to give his family a proper burial.

We can’t really see their faces, but this is such a beautiful photograph that I couldn’t resist! It’s a great reenactment of the scene where Kurapika finally captures Chrollo that I had to feature it! Please do give your support to Maru, the cosplayer behind Kurapika in this photo!
