Sasha struggled to hunt and find food when she was much younger, thus developing an incredible appetite. Food is almost-always on her mind, and eating gives her considerable gratification and relief especially during times of great stress. This compulsive desire to eat has earned her the nickname of “potato girl” after she stole a potato and absent-mindedly explained herself to her superior when he caught her.

I bet the staff in The Baked Potato Co. had no idea why this Sasha cosplayer was kneeling in front of their store, but isn’t this just about the most perfect cosplay of our beloved potato girl ever? Hopefully we can find out who she is! Thanks to Flipgeeks for sharing this!

Shingeki no Kyojin Live Action Trailer

What we have here is our first look at the 3D Maneuver Gear for the live action movie of Shingeki no Kyojin. I am cautiously optimistic? But at the same time, I’m not entirely sure that those effects will be convincing enough once it hits theaters.

I initially thought it was Eren kissing Mikasa in 1:28, but it looks like they’re the new characters that were created for this film! Good thing too, because I always viewed Eren and Mikasa as siblings!

Anyway, I’m holding off any and all judgment from this film until I actually see it in a month or two. I’m completely excited, and my Survey Corps jacket is ready and waiting!

Shingeki no Kyojin: Hanji Zoe and Sonny

Hanji Zoe is the person in charge of the experimentation of the captured titans, which she nicknamed “Sonny” and “Bean”. She and her team performed a number of experiments on them, including testing their response to communication, injury, and sunlight deprivation. Although they had more tests planned, but the two titans were killed by an unknown assailant, who was later revealed to be Annie Leonhart.

Hanji is one of my favorite characters in the series, and apparently, Isayama Hajime has told his editors that Hanji’s gender is up to the readers’ interpretation! In the anime, she’s clearly female, but that was never really confirmed or denied in the manga!

Shingeki no Kyojin: Sasha Blouse and Connie Springer

As part of the 104th Trainees Squad, Sasha Blouse and Connie Springer were required to practice hand-to-hand combat as part of their training. Many of the trainees did not see the point in learning martial arts when they were supposed to be fighting against titans, not humans. It would appear that Sasha and Connie felt the same way, as they were seen goofing around instead of sparring seriously.

Aren’t they adorable? I distinctly remember this scene from the anime… I really loved how these two characters could still find ways to take it easy, despite the ever-looming fear of titans devouring them. Shingeki no Kyojin: Eren Jeager 03

Eren has been overprotective of his friends and family ever since he was a child. Armin was his only friend and Eren never hesitated taking on the bullies who would make fun of him. He even brutally slaughtered the human traffickers who captured Mikasa in order to rescue her, even though they had never met before. After losing his mother to a titan, and losing contact with his father, his overprotectiveness intensified and he vowed to kill all the Titans with the Survey Corps.

You’ve probably seen this already, but I have to say, these character posters for the live action Shingeki no Kyojin movie look amazing! I’m a little worried about how the effects will be 3D Maneuver Gear, but I still can’t wait to see this!

What do you think of Miura Haruma playing the role of Eren Jeager? Remember, he’s the same guy who played Kazehaya from the live action Kimi ni Todoke movie. Quite a different role for him, wouldn’t you agree? Thanks to Karen for sending this in!

Shingeki no Kyojin: Levi Ackerman 07

Although Levi is known to be unapproachable and cold, he places great value on preserving human life. He once stated that he hates having unnecessary casualties and advised his subordinates to use their judgment properly to avoid any mistakes that may cost them their lives. When they later discovered that titans were once humans themselves, Levi appeared to be mortified by the news.

Another amazing cosplay by Taiwanese cosplayer, Oh Ye Ya (夜伢)! I really love all these different colors the fans have made for Shingeki no Kyojin. I think the black one may have been my favorite until now. Red looks surprisingly good on Levi! Thanks to Genevieve for sending this in!

Shingeki no Kyojin: Levi Ackerman and Erwin Smith

WARNING: This post may contain spoilers from the manga. Please read at your own risk!

Prior to the events that have occurred in the anime, Levi originally lived as a thug in the underground city below the capital along with his friends, Isabel Magnolia and Farlan Church. They were later captured by Erwin Smith, who blackmailed Levi into joining the Survey Corps. Although Levi once wanted to kill Erwin, Levi later came to trust his commander, obeying his every command and judgment.

I’ve never seen cosplayers use this color for their Shingeki no Kyojin military uniform before! Not sure if this this official or not, but black looks really good on them, don’t you think? Thanks to Jane for sending this in!

Shingeki no Kyojin: Jean Kirstein 02

Although he had once admitted his desire to join the Military Police so that he would have an easy and safe life, Jean Kirstein actually has a strong aversion to exposing himself to dangerous situations. He places high value on the lives of his comrades and, during their first encounter with the Female Titan, was willing to risk his life even if just to slow her down in order to avoid countless more deaths. Jean considers himself a realist, but his friendship with Eren made him slowly adopt the same idealistic outlooks that Jean once criticized.

Mikasa Ackermann was a cheerful, outgoing child who was unusually perceptive. She became aware of the harshness of nature at an early age after she saw her father bringing home a type of fowl for their family dinner. Although she managed to push these thoughts to the back of her mind, the murder of her parents shattered her illusionary peace, and thus she could no longer ignore the cruelty the defined the world she lived in.

Hardheaded, passionate, and impulsive, Eren Jaeger has had a strong determination to protect mankind ever since he was young. He dreams of leaving the safety of the Walls one day, and therefore wanted to join the Survey Corps despite his mother’s strong disapproval. Eren is the adoptive brother of Mikasa Ackermann and the only son of Grisha and Kalura Jaeger.

Shingeki no Kyojin: Petra Ral and Levi

Petra Ral was one of the soldiers Levi hand-picked for the Special Operations Squad in charge of protecting Eren Jaeger. She was highly skilled, reportedly slaying 58 titans in total, 48 in team, and 10 in solo, one of the highest number of kills in the series so far. Unfortunately, she was killed during the 57th expedition by a rare Female Titan.

She is one of the characters that I really loved in the series. I’m very sad that she passed away, but at least she no longer has to suffer in the hands of her world. Thanks to Walter for sending this in!

I don’t know about you guys, but I can picture Ren dancing PSY’s “Gentleman” if it means he could make a little girl laugh. And tiny Mikasa looks like she’s really happy to meet Ren.

Shingeki no Kyojin: Hanji Zoe

A hyperactive Squad Leader from the Scouting Legion, Hanji Zoe conducts research and experiments on Titans in order to further understand who or what they are up against. She is very passionate and driven, but can be a little too excited to the point that some of her subordinates think she may be a little crazy. She also enjoys discussing about her findings to others, but the lectures are often too detailed and long-winded that not many soldiers really care to listen.

The highest ranking administrator of the Southern Region, Commander Dot Pixis has full authority over cities’ defenses. Known to be an eccentric man, he retains and calm, light-hearted demeanor even in the midst of a crisis. He is also an effective leader and an expert strategist, analyzing situations carefully and knowing when to take risks.

Outspoken and honest, Jean Kirstein is unafraid to let others know what’s on his mind even if it may cause unnecessary conflict. He has strong leadership skills despite lacking strength as a soldier when compared to Levi, Mikasa, or Eren. However, Marco noted that this understanding of weakness allowed Jean to judge situations in the heat of the moment.
