Bayonetta: Bayonetta 03

There are three dimension in Bayonetta, all of which are inspired from Dante’s Devine Comedy; Paradiso (heaven), Purgatorio (purgatory), and Inferno (hell). The Paradiso generally takes the form of a golden valley or palace which is home to her “Angel” enemies. The Purgatorio is a metarealm that functions as an “in between” for metaphysical beings and stands alongside yet outside of the plane humans exist on. Finally, the Inferno is the hellish realm that contains infernal demons; the kind of beings Bayonetta herself occasionally summons with her Witch powers.

I don’t think this outfit is actually from the game, but I’m guessing it was too hot to wear the full leather garb. The details on her gun is really beautiful though! Thanks again to Sean for sending this in!

Bayonetta: Bayonetta 02

500 years before the incident behind Bayonetta's memory loss came to be, the Umbra Witches and the Lumen Sages shared two distinct treasures known as the "Eyes of the World". Each faction has one of the two eyes, but they mysteriously disappeared under unknown circumstances. Bayonetta believes the red gem on her jewelry is the Left Eye and searches for the Right Eye in order to regain her memory.

A late entry from last year's Winter Comiket! She kinda reminds me of Lucy Liu with that look of hers. I'm confused though; does Bayonetta like lollipops? Thanks to Reeve for sending this in!

In Virgid, a city in Europe, awakens a witch known as Bayonetta from her 500 year slumber. She is a powerful being who can shapeshift and is very talented in handling firearms and even uses her own hair as a weapon. Unfortunately, she can’t remember who and where she is and only time will help her regain her memories.

Another awesome cosplayer from Winter Comiket 2009! Thanks to Jeremy for the info on Bayonetta. I wouldn’t have known who she was otherwise. Great work!
