Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Sinon 03

After joining Alfheim Online, Sinon created a Cait Sith archer, and has the ability to shoot targets 200 meters away with a bow that should only have a maximum accuracy of 100 meters. In real life, Shino’s eyes are twice as good as the average person, and the glasses she uses have lenses made of NXT polymer which is said to be able to withstand the impact of a bullet. Shino’s motto is “One Shot, One Kill”, a popular saying known as the “Sniper’s Creed”, often quoted by real-world military snipers.

Sinon is a really popular cosplay character, isn’t she? She might actually become more popular than Asuna at this rate, but then again, I guess it depends on who you ask. Thanks again to Shuichi for sending this in!

Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Silica

After Asuna was rescued from Alfheim Online, Silica met up with Kirito and Asuna in the real world and attended the SAO Survivor School with them. She later joins ALO and creates a Cait Sith beast-tamer avatar along with her partner from SAO, Pina. She often goes with Kirito and the others on quests for rare items and raids.

I thought the red uniform suited Silica better, but the ears and tail does look good on her, wouldn’t you agree? Thanks to Shuichi for sending this in!

Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Titania (Asuna) 03

At the end of Sword Art Online, all of the trapped players were presumed to be released from the game after years of being unable to logout. It was later revealed that Asuna, along with 300 other players, were trapped in the World Tree inside another game known as Alfheim Online. Asuna was forced to play the role of the Fairy Queen, Titania, by the fiancé her parents chose for her, Nobuyuki Sugou, who played the role of the Fairy King Oberon.

An actual cage to go with this Titania cosplay! I must say, I’m very impressed! And she looks like she has some wings too! Thanks to Michael for sending this in!

In Alfheim Online, Sinon’s cool and collected attitude has gained her a lot of female admirers in their party. She became good friends with Kirito, despite their constant bickering and teasing with one another. Sinon also appears to be one of the few girls Yui gets along with, even though she is close to Kirito.

Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Asuna 04

On December 7, 2025, as Asuna stood in from of Otemachi Station, the Chiyoda Line waiting for Kazuto, she began to contemplate about “real” things. In the real world, the things that surrounded her were made up of atoms, and within the VMMORPG, it was made up of data, yet what happened in Sword Art Online also felt “real” to her. As she continued to muse about the topic out loud, Kazuto came up from behind her and stated that both worlds were real, except that there was a difference in the quantity of data.

Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Sinon

After the Death Gun incident in Gun Gale Online, Lisbeth and Asuna invited Sinon to join Alfheim Online. She created a new avatar and chose the Cait Sith as it has the best eyesight among all the nine races; quite useful, considering how Sinon prefers to attack long range. The Cait Sith has cat ears and a tail, the late of which Kirito pulled as a joke during the expedition of the retrieval of the Holy Sword Excalibur.

Sword Art Online: Alfheim Online: Yui and Titania (Asuna)

Yui is an artificial intelligence designed to monitor the emotions and mental health of the players in Sword Art Online. Kirito saved her from being deleted by Cardinal by converting and storing her data into his own NerveGear. She later appears in Alfheim Online as a Private Navigation Pixie and helped Kirito locate Asuna. Yui refers to Kirito and Asuna her “Papa” and “Mama” respectively, as they consider Yui their first “daughter” as well.

Well, isn’t this the most adorable thing you’ve ever come across? It’s cute how Yui gets annoyed at anyone coming between Kirito and Asuna. Thanks to Frosty for sharing this!

As a regular player in Alfheim Online, Asuna retains her strong-willed yet kind personality as seen in Sword Art Online. However, she is no longer as proud as she was before. Asuna has several traits which are similar to Kirito’s, which is probably why they understand and love each other very much.

Upon receiving an email from Agil containing a picture from Alfheim Online, Kazuto (Kirito) immediately went to visit Andrew (Agil) at the Dicey Cafe. Andrew told him about the girl, who looked very similar to Asuna, who was trapped inside a birdcage on top of the World Tree. Kazuto also noticed that the game was designed by RECTO Progress Inc., the same company Sugou worked for who was also in charge of the SAO servers. Upon entering the ALO, Kirito’s suspicions were confirmed when he reunited with his “daughter”, Yui.

I thought it was a lovely scene to see Kirito reunite with Yui, even though ALO was a weird half season for me. Thanks to Jennifer for sending this in!

Asuna’s personality began to further develop after she met Yuuki, admiring how the later could still move forward despite knowing that she will ultimately die. This made her much stronger than before, but Asuna was no longer as proud in Alfheim Online as she was in Sword Art Online. Whether she is dense to the fact that other girls love Kirito or she is confident that Kirito is only in love with her, however, is still subject to debate.

Kirigaya Kazuto who is more commonly known in the series as Kirito, was raised along side his first cousin, Kirigaya Suguha. Their mothers are sisters and Suguha’s mother took Kazuto in when his parents died in a traffic accident. When they were still quite young, their grandfather began teaching them kendo, but Kazuto gave up the sport after two years and embraced the world of VRMMORPG. They became distant to one another and were practically strangers before the Sword Art Online incident.

This is an amazing way showing both sides of Suguha in one photo! Personally, I like the real Suguha more than Leafa, but I’m sure there are a lot of Leafa fans out there. Thanks to Miss Loki for sharing this!

After Kirito rescued her in Alfheim Online, Asuna returned to the game with a new avatar. She choose an Undine from ALO using her main account that was transferred from Sword Art Online. Although she is a Healer Class, Asuna later became known as “Berserk Healer” as she enjoys fighting in the front line with her rapier on some occasions.

Although initially disliking VRMMOs, Kirigaya Suguha took up Alfheim Online in order to better understand her cousin, Kazuto, as he was trapped in Sword Art Online. She won the Sylph tournament thanks to her Kendo background, earning the title of the strongest Sylph in ALO. Her display name in game is “リーファ”, pronounced as “Leafa”.

A very cute cosplay of Leafa by 肉感少女 – Neneko! Although I’m kinda sad she doesn’t have wings, ALO does set a time limit for those to appear, right? Thanks to Janet for sending this in!

Although Kirito managed to complete Sword Art Online, Asuna along 300 other players were captured by Sugo Nobuyuki into another VRMMORPG known as Alfheim Online. Asuna was forced to play the role of Titania, the Queen of the Fairies, all the while trapped in Alfheim online so that Sugo could marry her in the real world and take over her father’s company, RCT Progress Inc. The other players were trapped in a dream-like state, constantly being experimented on as part of Sugo’s research.
