Gundam Seed Destiny: Rey Za Burrel 02

Rey Za Burrel is a ZAFT soldier of the Minerva who pilots a classic ZAFT Zaku and later ZAFT’s newest model, the ZGMF-X666S Legend. He is loyal to Gilbert Durandal and blindly supports the Destiny Plan as he believes it will save mankind. It was later revealed that Rey is a clone of Al Da Flaga, created as a transaction in exchange for funds to finance Rau Le Creuset’s Ultimate Coordinator Project.

I liked this character in Gundam Seed Destiny. It made me feel bad for him that he went insane in the end. Nevertheless, another beautiful cosplay by Yoshino Shiyui! Thanks to Clarence for sending this in!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Auel Neider and Sting Oakley

Auel Neider, Sting Oakley, and Stella Loussier make up the three Extended pilots of Earth Alliance’s special forces team, Phantom Pain, under Neo Roanoke’s command. Extended pilots are known to be mentally unstable, but they are also very highly-skilled. When the three of them snuck into the PLANT colony Armory One, they each stole a new Gundam-type mobile suit: Auel took the ZGMF-X31S Abyss while Sting took the ZGMF-X24S Chaos.

All they need is Stella and they would be complete! It’s too bad I only have the low resolution of this picture; it’s quite impressive! Thanks to Lois for sending this!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell, Athrun Zala, and Cagalli Yula Athha

When Athrun Zala first met Meer Campbell, she did not hide the fact that she was not Lacus Clyne, despite posing to be her under Gilbert Durandal’s order. Meer knew that Athrun was Lacus’ fiancé and decided to flirt with him, even though Athrun tells her that Lacus would never do any of the things that she does. What she didn’t know was that Athrun was already engaged to Cagalli Yula Athha.

It must be hard to be sought after by two head-strong girls. Then again, since Athrun is holding Pink-chan, does this mean he still loves Lacus when this photo was taken?

Gundam Seed Destiny: Lacus Clyne 02

In the beginning of the 2nd season, Lacus was living with Kira Yamato at Reverend Malchio’s Orphanage in the Marshall Islands. However, the peaceful days came to an abrupt end when a disaster from the new war forced them to move in with their former comrades, Andrew Waltfeld and Murrue Ramius at their shared mansion in Orb. The Coordinators made an attempt on Lacus’ life, but Kira was able to defeat them with the Freedom.

Cute cosplayer and oh-so-many Haros! I love how she colored her eyebrows pink, those blue eyes are really captivating! Thanks again to Michelle for sending this!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Lunamaria Hawke

A mobile suit pilot for the ZAFT military forces, Lunamaria Hawke attended the ZAFT military academy together with her sister Meyrin Hawke and her fellow pilots Shinn Asuka and Rey Za Burrel. She pilots a red ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior, but is later given Impulse when Shinn received Destiny. She was initially attracted to Athrun Zala, but after his apparent death along with her sister Meyrin, she began a relationship with Shinn.

Cosplayer Marimo makes an excellent Lunamaria! I love the subtle details of this costume, especially her wig! Thanks again to Rei for sending this in!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Cagalli Yula Athha 02

Although Cagalli knew the true nature of the Atlantic Federation, she was manipulated into endorsing an alliance between Earth Alliance and Orb by her fiancé, Yuna Roma Seiran and his father, Unato Ema Seiran. Her arranged marriage to Yuna would finalize this agreement, but her twin brother Kira decides to kidnap her in order to remind her of her late father’s ideals. Cagalli later assumes the bridge position in the Archangel previously held by Miriallia Haw.

Cute cosplayer! It’s been a while since I last saw this series, and even though I have some reservations, it still reminds me of some good memories. Thanks to Cain for suggesting this!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell 05

Although she did not hide her true identity from Athrun Zala when they first met, Meer Campbell enjoys living as Lacus Clyne and refused to escape with Athrun when he defected knowing she would be exposed as a fake. Once Meer was exposed, however, she tried to lure the real Lacus out of hiding and have her assassinated as suggested by her bodyguard so that she would become the real Lacus Clyne. Meer dies shortly after their meeting as she had a change of heart when Lacus encouraged her to live as herself.

Beautiful Meer! And definitely very much like the real character! I love her pose and those cute sandals, even if they’re not the same as the original design. Thanks to Perioth for emailing this!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell 04

A young woman who received plastic surgery so that she would look like Lacus Clyne, Meer Campbell was used by Gilbert Durandal in order to get the citizens on PLANT to support him. She is flirty, excitable, and adores Athrun Zala, although he does not feel the same way. When Athrun defects, he attempts to convince Meer to escape Gibraltar with him, but she refuses as she prefers to live as Lacus Clyne.

Kipi is the cosplayer behind this Meer, though I can't recall Meer wearing a bikini in the series. It's been a while since I've seen it though. Thanks to O' Brian for sending this in!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne

Kira was severely wounded in the war that had broken out on earth when he was brought to the Clyne Household. With the help of Lacus, her father Siegel Clyne, and their family friend Reverend Malchio, Kira recovers and they grant him safe haven in their home.

When word of the ZAFT’s forces’ plans to attack Earth Alliance base JOSH-A reaches them, Lacus provides Kira with a ZAFT uniform and helps him attain the ZGMF-X10A Freedom in order to help his friends who were still aboard Archangel. It was during this time that Lacus showed her support and affections to Kira by wishing him good fortune and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Aren’t they cute? Admittedly, I prefer Athrun over Kira, but Kira and Lacus make a cute couple anyway! Thank you for sharing this!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Stella Loussier 02

An innocent child who is fond of the sea and dancing, Stella Loussier is an Extended pilot who is often compared to raging berserker. Despite this fearsome personality, she really has quiet and contemplative nature, which is a result of her personality disorder.

She serves under the command of Neo Roanoke and considers Lunamaria Hawke as her rival of sorts in battle. She calls her "red one" based on the color of her mobile suit, ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior. Stella pilots the ZGMF-X88S Gaia.

Quite a curious photo, but still a very beautiful cosplayer. Great work!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Athrun Zala 02

Athrun Zala has a habit of making small, robotic pets for his friends. Here, he's carrying a Haro called "Mister Pink" which he created for his once fiancé, Lacus Clyne. Lacus loved haro very much, and Athrun's response was to create several of them for her, which she named based on their colors.

It was kinda sad how they didn't end up together, but I think a lot of people support the Lacus and Kira pairing.

I believe this Athrun is from the same group as Rey's and Cagalli's. Same watermarks on them, but I could be wrong. Thanks to Ros for the wonderful photography!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Rey Za Burrel

The cool and collected elite gundam pilot, Rey Za Burrel is not one to meddle in other people’s affairs. He is a good friend of Shin Asuka, and is very close to Chairman Gilbert Durandal.

In the past, Rau Le Creuset is also shown to be very kind to Rey, making him quite devastated to find out Rau was killed by Kira Yamato. He becomes even more infuriated at Kira for being the only obstacle to Durandal’s “Destiny Plan”.

This photo was actually taken by the same person who took Cagalli’s photo. This is quite a convincing cosplay of Rey. I just hope he doesn’t shoot anyone who is reading this blog.

Gundam Seed Destiny: Cagalli Yula Athha

It was in Gundam Seed Destiny that I began to hate Cagalli. I suppose suddenly becoming the “sort of” president of a country is extremely stressful, as well as having to marry someone for diplomatic means…

But I don’t like it that she has to cry so much and ask for so much pity and support from everyone.

Even though I don’t like the character, this cosplayer is so pretty! Though I think I actually like the first cosplayer that I posted then this one (which is a first!). Still… I love the cosplayer, the pose, and the photo! Great Job!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Stella Loussier

Stella Loussier is one of the 3 experiments of the Naturals, labeled as an “Extended Human”, someone who is born naturally, but could fight in the same efficiency as a Coordinator. Extended Humans do not have their DNA altered like Coordinators; rather, they use other means such as drugs to enhance their fighting ability.

Stella, or “Stellar” in some markets, is a gifted Gundam Pilot who suffers from a personality disorder. She is generally sweet and child-like when she is surrounded by people who are most important to her. But when she is in danger, or hears the word “death”, she becomes a totally different person, a ruthless killer who kills and destroys everything in her way.

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell 03

More people seem to like cosplaying the fake than the real Lacus Clyne. I wonder why that is?

I’m not really complaining… Maybe just a little bit. I like Lacus better than Meer. But I did feel sorry for her in the end. Having to live someone else’s life… no matter how glamorous it is, is torture. You may enjoy it for a while, but you’ll be destroyed once you’ve been found out.

But anyway, this is a beautiful cosplay! She definitely a rival for the two other Meers I’ve featured before. Great Job!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Alex Dino aka Athrun Zala

In the end of the war of Gundam Seed, Athrun disguises himself as Alex Dino in order to stay by Cagalli Yula Athha’s side as her personal bodyguard.

And what a lovely cosplay of Athrun Zala / Alex Dino we have here. I personally like the color of his hair. It looks absolutely perfect! The eye color and attitude are lovely as well.

On a side note to the Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny Fans, can anyone tell me who Athrun actually ended up with at the end of the Seed Series (including Destiny and etc.)? It seems Athrun was first engaged to Lacus, then Lacus broke that off to be with Kira. Athrun then fell in love with Cagalli, but during the aftermath, he departs with Meyrin Hawke.

I’m just confused… Does anyone have a definite answer for me?

Hm… I think I’m beginning to spam my own blog today. This is my third entry so far, and I think I will regret this later once I run out of pictures.

I can’t help it though. There are so many nice cosplayers on the Internet that I want to feature them all at once!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell

Before I get any more emails, I’d like to feature a cosplayer from the West, namely in America.

This is a cosplay photo I came accross in Deviant Art. Though I don’t know her name, she’s apparently Adella’s Sister. This is a very good example that you don’t have to be Asian in order to come up with a good cosplay.

Adella obviously took her sister’s natural beauty in deciding a costume for her. In my opinion, I love the way she portrays Meer. A lot of people have failed miserably when they try to cosplay Meer, but she does it just right, and she still looks good even if the costume is a bit revealing.

Kudos to Adella and her sister. I hope I get to see more of their photos…
