Sailor Stars: Seiya Kou

The leader of the Sailor Starlights, Seiya Kou is the lead vocalist of the pop star group, the Three Lights. Seiya tends to act arrogantly and appears to be confident in her own abilities. When she enters a local high school, Seiya becomes the school’s star athlete in American football, upsetting Tenoh Haruka as she was the previous star (in track and field). She developed feelings for Usagi, but eventually regarded them to be unrequited love.

RWBY: Weiss Schnee 02

The heiress of the Schnee Dust Company, Weiss Schnee is the wielder of the espada ropera, Myrtenaster, which channels the energy of Dust to create powerful spells. She is cold and demeaning towards others, and she initially does not get along well with Ruby, but their relationship takes a turn for the better after the Professor advised her to be the best person that she could be. Weiss does, however, still have a tendency to insult Ruby whenever she makes mistakes.

Rurouni Kenshin: Himura Kenshin 06

When Shishio Makoto began a movement seeking to overthrow the Meiji Government, Kenshin was forced to resume his training and mend his relationship with his teacher, Hiko Seijurou. After a heated exchange of words, Seijurou agrees, and taught Kenshin the final two techniques, Kuzu-ryusen (Nine-headed Dragon Strike) and Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki (Heavens Gliding Dragon Flash). His training also developed a desire to survive, so that Kaoru would not be shocked by his death.

I didn’t know Kenshin’s birthday was on June 20! And I’ve loved this character forever! Maybe I will start re-reading all of the books again. Thanks to Cosplayers Archive for sharing this!

Star Driver: Shindou Sugata 02

As the owner of the King Cybody, the Kiraboshi order vacated the leadership of the order’s First Division “Emperor” to Sugata, hoping that he would eventually claim it. He joined the Glittering Crux, manipulating Nichi Keito, his friends, and the Crux into believing that he wanted to use Samekh’s powers to become king. It was later revealed that he actually wanted to re-seal Samekh even if it cost him his life.

Tokyo Ghoul: Kaneki Ken 02

A 19-year-old university freshman, Kaneki Ken received an organ transplant from Kamishiro Rize, who was ironically trying to kill him before she was struck by a falling i-beam and seemingly killed. After the operation, Kaneki began developing ghoul-like tendencies and his rationality began to wane. As both human and ghoul, he often fights with his ghoul side in order to keep his ghoul identity a secret and continue to live as a normal human being.

I’ve been getting a lot of Tokyo Ghoul emails lately. This show must be pretty famous! I’d better start watching more recent anime just to keep myself in the loop!

Sailor Stars: Eternal Sailor Chibichibi

When she first appeared in the series, Chibichibi appears to be about two years old, and cannot really talk yet. She usually imitates others, but mostly says “chibi”. Her names has two meanings, literally “small person” or “small child”, and as a pun meaning “making something last”.

She eventually transforms, under her own power, into a Sailor Soldier, Sailor Chibichibi. Although she does not to appear to have any attacks of her own, she does increase Sailor Moon’s power.

Oh wow, doesn’t Mikuro Nekomi make the perfect Chibichibi? I’m actually surprised to find cosplays of this character, so I had to feature it asap! Thanks again to Sophia for suggesting this!

Ruby has the unique ability to maneuver at superhuman speed, impressing even the headmaster of Beacon Academy, Professor Ozpin, so much that he accepts her into the academy two years sooner than normal. Because she is the youngest, she can be a little childish at times and is obsessed with weapons. She was inspired to become a huntress by the fairy tales she read as a little girl and wanted to become a heroine who fought for what was right and protect people without asking for anything in return.

Princess Tutu: Princess Kraehe 03

Although Princess Kraehe loved Mytho dearly, her jealousy interfered with Princess Tutu’s attempts to restore Mytho’s heart, because Kraehe feared that he would fall in love with someone else. Her father, the Raven, used her as a means to revive himself, to which Kraehe dutifully obeys. It was later revealed that she was not a raven herself, but a human girl kidnapped by the Raven during his attack on the town.
