Born on June 20, 1849, Himura Kenshin was known as “Shinta” before his master, Hiko Seijuro XIII, saved him from marauding bandits. He was renamed by Hiko when he decided to take Kenshin in as his apprentice, stating that Shinta was not a good name for a swordsman. At age 14, Kenshin joined the rebellion against the Tokugawa regime; much to Hiko’s disappointment as he believed that Kenshin was not yet prepared in mind and spirit for dealing with the conflicts of the outside world.
This is quite an impressive shot! KRH is still in perfect focus despite leaping in mid air! It must have taken quite a few attempts to get this photo! Thanks to Janet for sending this in!
