Starry Sky: Tohzuki Suzuya (Cancer)

The representation of Cancer, Tohzuki Suzuya is a childhood friend of Yahisa Tsukiko’s and Nanami Kanata’s. He is the reliable “older brother” of the trio who does his best to keep them out of harm’s way. At Seigetsu Academy, he would often use the school’s kitchen to cook and prepare food for his friends. He loves Tsukiko dearly, but because Kanata is also in love with her, Suzuya decided to hold back his feelings.

Naruto: Haruno Sakura 05

Although she could be considered as a boy-crazy, spoiled brat in the beginning of the series, Haruno Sakura is a compassionate and courageous girl who is willing to sacrifice herself to defend her team mates, Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke. She has always had a deep infatuation for Sasuke, and thus finds Naruto’s advances irksome. Sakura is noted for her scholastic intelligence in the Academy and, by training under Master Tsunande, becomes a strong kunoichi and an excellent medical-nin.

I never thought pink hair could look so natural, but Ito Yui certainly pulls it off without a hitch! She’s definitely one of the cutest Sakura’s I’ve seen! Anyway, please visit the the official Naruto Stage website for the full cast list and the actors’ profiles!

Touken Ranbu: Mikazuki Munechika

Mikazuki Munechika is a character based on one of the tenka goken, a group of Japanese swords famous for their history or beauty. The katana was created near the end of the 11th century by Sanjo Munechika, who lived during the mid-Heian period. Mikazuki is the representative of the Sanjo signature, as its unique crescent moon pattern makes it the most beautiful of the five swords.

An online, web browser game based on infamous swords? Japan sure is creative in making sure the younger generation learn about its rich history! And beautiful Japanese cosplayers like Reika also help preserve Japanese culture, wouldn’t you agree?

Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~: Saito Hajime 06

Very little is known about Saito’s past, but it is said that he is the first-born of a prestigious samurai clan in Edo. However, being strongly left-handed left him unable to learn their clan’s sword techniques, but he compensated by learning and mastering the Iaijutsu. Saito was falsely accused of murdering a fellow clansman despite being challenged to a duel and was later exiled from his clan.

Excuse me while I find some tissues for my bleeding nose. Saito’s probably going to be my most favorite character from the series forever. Thanks to Demi for sharing this!

Psycho-Pass: Makishima Shogo 03

Makishima’s primary goal is to liberate the Japanese Society of the Sibyl System, a private organization that created and manages the Psycho-Pass technology as well as the Dominators. He believes the system has turned the citizens into mere “sheep”, and outwardly disdains their way of living. Makishima wishes to force the people to reexamine their motives and determine the direction of their lives based on their own will.

Starry Sky: Shiranui Kazuki (Aries)

The representation of Aries, Shiranui Kazuki is the arrogant Student Council President of Seigetsu who has the ability of foresight. Despite being hot-headed, he is extremely charismatic and is seen as the fatherly figure by the rest of the student council. Kazuki recruited Yahisa Tsukiko, Aozora Hayato, and Amaha Tsubasa as fellow student council member after foreseeing the happy future they would have together.

Naruto: Yakushi Kabuto

A nukenin or “runaway shinobi”, Yakushi Kabuto was orphaned by war and taken in by an orphanage in Konohagakure. As he was suffering from amnesia, Kabuto is not his real name, but a nickname given to him by Yakushi Nono, the nun who found him. He was pressured into becoming a shinobi by Shimura Danzo, who demanded an orphan from Nono in exchange for funding. Kabuto thus became a spy for the village, assuming many identities which left him unsure of who he truly was.

Doesn’t Kimura Tatsumari look amazing as Kabuto? I’m beginning to wish I could see this stage play for myself, even though I’ve never read or watched Naruto before. Please check out the full cast on the official Naruto Stage website!

Card Captor Sakura: Li Syaoran 04

Li Syaoran was initially attracted to Tsukishiro Yukito, feelings which he mistakenly thought of to be love. It was later revealed that this infatuation was due to the high moon power inside Yukito, as he was actually the temporary form of Yue, the judge who was allowed to test the next Clow Card Master for his or her worthiness. After the Erase card’s capture however, Syaoran began to develop feelings for Sakura instead.

What a cute Syaoran! I wasn’t much of a CCS fan back when it was airing in local channels here, but I changed my mind right around the time I received a deck of Clow Cards of my own. Thanks to Michelle for sharing this!
