Demonbane: Al-Azif

Al-Azif is the original copy of the Necronomicon and possibly the most powerful grimoire in existence. She made a pact with Daijuuji Kurou after she was chased by the Black Lodge, which allows him to access her near limitless power. Although she is normally direct, bold, and upbeat, Al is quite impatient with those who are slow to act in danger, but also knows when to back down when they are outclassed by more powerful members of the Black Lodge.

Cute cosplay by Usagi! I’m guessing she used wired ribbons to achieve that look, because if it was the wind, then I would have expected her hair and clothing to be affected as well. Thanks to Leslie for sending this!

Final Fantasy X: Yuna and Tidus 02

Yuna’s fateful meeting with Tidus caused her to begin questioning some of Yevon’s teachings. When she learned of the hypocrisy in Yevon’s upper levels, her faith was shaken, but she perused her pilgrimage despite Tidus’ and Rikku’s protests. It was only when she was confronted with the truth of the Final Summoning and the “spiral of death” that her trust in Yevon was finally shattered.

Nicole, the contributor, mentioned that “they had to shoot this in location, at a beach in waist deep waters at night :)”. I’m glad they did, because this is just beautiful! Stunning photography by Foodtrip and awesome cosplaying by Macon Agtual as Yuna with Dycee Co as Tidus!

Kuroshitsuji: Ciel Phantomhive 10

When Ciel made his contract with Sebastian, his first command was to kill all the people in the room he was being tortured. It was during his time as a slave that a mark was burned on the left side of his back, although the anime featured it on the left side of his chest. Needless to say, Ciel was traumatized from this horrifying experience, and he does not allow much physical contact with other people aside from Sebastian and his fiancée, Elizabeth Middleford.

Stocking's angel outfit appears to be inspired from lolita fashion. In her angel form, she wears a white corset-like dress with blue hearts, a blue ribbon on her head, blue and white stockings, and light gray heels.

Hetalia: Axis Powers: China

One of the oldest nations in the series, China is the self-proclaimed older brother of the other Asian nations, even if Japan doesn’t see him that way at all. He is an easy-going hermit who has a fondness for food and cute things, although the characters he creates are often bootleg versions of the other countries’ like Hello Kitty. He also appears to be wary of Russia.

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Mahad

One of the priests who served Pharaoh Atem, Mahad is the original wielder of the Millennium Ring. In order to defeat the Thief King Bakura, he sacrificed his life and fused his Ba (Life Spirit) with his Ka (Egyptian Spirit Monster) in order to create the “Dark Magician”. He and the pharaoh have been best friends since they were children, and Mahad has always kept his loyalty to his king.

I didn’t know about this until I featured this cosplay. I’ve always loved the Dark Magician and used to always have his card in my deck. Too bad my deck was stolen some time ago and I haven’t played since. Anyway, thanks to Cherokee for sending this in!

Yu Yu Hakusho: Youko Kurama 04

During the Dark Tournament, Kurama was temporarily reverted back to his original form: a Youko or “Demon Fox” who has silver hair, fox ears, and tail. Youko’s powers are far greater than Kurama’s as he is capable of creating demonic plants which posses various attributes and highly formidable powers. He is also known to be far more vicious than his “human” counterpart.

Loveless: Agatsuma Soubi and Aoyagi Ritsuka 02

As ordered by his previous master, Soubi contacted Ritsuka after Seimei’s death. He introduced Ritsuka to the world of fighters and sacrifices and told Ritsuka that he was his Fighter Unit. Many knew Soubi to be Seimei’s fighter, thus his relationship with Ritsuka was considered taboo because there is no fighter-sacrifice bond between them.

Another beautiful cosplay found on Loveless Cosplay’s Tumblr! If I’m not mistaken, this is a reenactment of one of the covers from the manga. I’m not too sure how accurate the clothes are though! Thanks for sharing this with us!

Pandora Hearts: Gilbert Nightray 02

Gilbert Nightray's protectiveness is said to be compounded by the fact that he was brainwashed by Miranda Barma to protect Jack Vessalius even if it means killing to fulfill his duty. When Gil is drunk, he becomes an insecure crybaby, reminiscent of his 14-year-old self. He has a constant fear that, as Oz grows, he will be left behind.

The character kind of reminds me of Soubi from Loveless. Nonetheless, fantastic cosplay by Martin! I’m loving all the details of this cosplay and the fact that he’s a guy cosplayer! We need more of them around, right?

Martin has also mentioned the this cosplay debuted on the 17th Sept 2011 at Animania Sydney 2011, Australia. Maybe some of our Australian readers have seen him before? Thanks for sharing this with us!

When Chrome Dokuro returned to the future, the other members of the Family worried about her because she wasn't eating. Her friendship with I-pin, however, soon changed this and she began joining them for dinner. She then started training to master her illusions with the virtual training challenge created by Mammon. She also honed her skills in combat with Bianchi and I-Pin.

Making her first appearance in the second game “Story of the Eastern Wonderland” as an enemy, Kirisame Marisa is a human magician who lives in a cluttered house in the Forest of Magic. Although she is considered to be friends with Reimu, she prefers being alone and spends most of her time researching magic. Marisa is also an avid collector of many items and has a tendency of “borrowing” things without returning them.
