This photo has been labeled as one of the most popular deviations of all time on Deviant Art. It’s easy to see why as the cosplay and the setting is superb, but a lot of people who became jealous of this popularity gave the cosplayers a hard time.
This is one of the reasons why I don’t allow hateful comments on Cosplay Holic. I do let constructive criticism slide in once in a while, but most of the time, I delete them. Cosplayers work hard on their cosplays, and it’s all for fun. It’s not something that should be taken too seriously.
And yes, everyone, please get it straight, Yagami Light’s cosplayer in this shoot, Jin Joson aka *behindinfinity, is a girl.
Miguel aka ~merkymerx is L, China aka ~snowpeachdrop is Misa, and ~littlesailboat is their photographer. Thanks to Cianna for sending this in!
I've always admired this cosplay. Someday I hope that my cosplays end up as perfect looking as that.
ReplyDeletethey are cool...I like them all with that cosu...
ReplyDeleteby the way, your header pic was change,he??
who is she in that pic?? saya??
Kupkakes: Yeah, but I wish they wouldn't be hated for making such great cosplays. :(
ReplyDeleteSkilef: Yes, the header pic was changed for the month of June. :D The girl is from Winter Comiket: http://kosupurei.blogspot.com/2010/01/vocaloid-2-hatsune-miku-03.html
No matter what other people say I will always love this group of people who show how much they love their characters through their cosplays, choice of location and photography skills :)
ReplyDeleteGood to know! The Tuxedo Group have both fans and haters, so it's very hard for them. :( Can't understand why people take cosplay so seriously sometimes! ^^;
ReplyDeleteThe Tuxedo Team's so awesome! I saw them compete in a group cosplay in 2008 as Naruto and company (with all the FIVE Hokage lol). I enjoyed their skit so much, and they even won first place! They're just a fun group of friends who love anime and cosplaying, and no one should tell them not to have fun.
ReplyDeleteThey're also artists, and their cosplay shoots show a lot of hard work and lots of skill. I'm practically stalking them online (lol kidding). This picture shows that!
I have to say, I absolutely love L's cosplayer's face. It's just so hilarious. But the costumes are awesome.
ReplyDeleteJust needed to point out that Jin is a boy. He does have a twin sister, though.
ReplyDeleteI love these guys, and the Tuxedo Team is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThere's only one thing that's wrong with this article: there are two guys in the article, and that is Jin and Miguel. Jin (behindinfinity on dA) is actually a guy; he has feminine looks, but no worries. He is actually a guy, not a girl.
Daayyyeeem. People STILL think Jin is a guy! She said herself that she was a girl (and also that Nejin doesn't exist). =__= Although she also said there's no need to correct it everytime, but I still think everyone should know her real gender, and appreciate how hard she works to look like a dude :D Juuust in case people don't believe me, here's her journal entry talking about it http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com/journal/15787875/
ReplyDeleteThis pic is creepy awesome! I just saw it for the first time and thought to myself: 'those persons are... Artists!'
ReplyDeleteGreat cosplay, if not best cosplay ever; congrats!
Jin is awesome! But my fave is this http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com/art/Death-Note-Shinigami-69585386 how can you not feature this?! this is epic!
ReplyDeletethis is by far the awesome-est death note coplay ever http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com/gallery/128220#/d15fgfe
