Although Ryuk and Rem are both shinigamis, they are the exact opposites of one another. While Ryuk takes amusement in everything in the Human World, Rem dislikes humans and views them with contempt. In another example, Ryuk is ambivalent with Light’s success or failure, while Rem, on the other hand, actively assists Misa. However, they are similar in the fact that neither one of them displays “proper” traits for a shinigami to have.
I’m guessing Ryuk has a mask on, what do you guys think? I find this version of Rem quite pretty though. Thanks to Maika for sending this in!
