Erza Scarlet described herself as someone who was always crying, since she wasn’t able to protect the important people in her life. Several examples include Rob, who tried to shield her from destruction, and Jellal when he was captured for saving her and brainwashed by “Zeref”. Erza also stated that she feels uncomfortable and insecure when she’s not wearing her armor. However, when Erza encountered Ikaruga of Trinity Raven, she was able to overcome her fear and defeated her without her armor.
