Yui is apparently allergic to air conditioning, but she can’t stand being too hot or too cold in general. She is, however, immune to heat strokes for some reason or other.

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but Comiket 81 occurred during winter, didn’t it? Yui, aren’t you too cold in that swimsuit? Better cover up quickly before you catch a cold! Thanks to Paul for sending this in!

Uta no Prince-sama: Hijirikawa Masato and Nanami Haruka

One snowy day, Hijirikawa Masato was walking outside when he heard someone singing. Nanami Haruka was leading a group of children in the playground, singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, her favorite childhood lullaby. Her sincerity in her music stirred something inside Masato and from that day forth, he began to have dreams and aspirations of his own.

Alright, I confess, I don’t really like Masato much in the game, but I guess the anime toned down on his… whininess. Cosplayers are Senra-tsun (閃羅つん) as Masato and Shun (春 しゅん) as Haruka!

Defense of the Ancients: Lina Inverse, the Slayer

One of the deadliest offensive spellcasters in the game, Lina is capable of killing heroes with one combo of her spells. Her two main spells, “Dragon Slave” and “Light Strike Array”, both provide a large Area of Effect combo. She also has the most powerful single-target spell in the game: the Laguna Blade.

I’m not completely sure she’s cosplaying Lina, since her costume is partially covered because of her pose, and I’ve never played DotA before. But that’s what the contributor, Gabrielle said, so I’m sticking with this until someone says otherwise! Thanks again for the email!

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4: Satonaka Chie 02

An upbeat girl who has an obsession with Kung Fu, Satonaka Chie described to be friendly, cheerful, and energetic, but she also has a short temper. She is best friends with Amagi Yukiko, but is secretly envious of Yukiko’s feminine side and talents. This rings true when Chie entered the TV World and meets her Shadow who represented her jealousy.

A great pose and cosplay of Chie! I think the people in the background are actually the rest of the Persona 4 cast, but I guess Chie was ready to pose before her cast mates were. Thanks again to Andrew for sending this in!

Touhou Project: Izayoi Sakuya 04

In Touhou Project 10.5: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Sakuya was initially commanded by Remilia Scarlet to find all possible suspects behind the strange weather. When Remilia grew tired of “questioning”, she then ordered Sakuya to personally find and deal with the culprit. After doing so, she told Reimu where to find the culprit and helped rebuild the Hakurei Shrine after it was destroyed for the second time.

That’s an interesting outfit for Sakuya. I wonder if this an official costume or a fan-made one? Thanks again to 4chanatic for sending this in!

A neuroscience researcher at an American university, Kurisu has had her research published in the academic journal “Sciency” at the young age of 18. She is extremely talented and and even skipped a grade in the American school system. Despite all her accomplishments, she does not get along with her father and has not spoken to him for many years.

Orix Buffaloes: BuffaloBell

Well, what can you expect? It is Comiket Season, so there will be a ton of awesome cosplays that I don’t know about!

Now, I’m not much of a sports fan to begin with, and that doesn’t change much when it’s an anime or manga series. But I can’t seem to shake off the feeling that this isn’t even from an anime. I think she’s a baseball mascot from a real team, and Japan is well-known for its love of baseball.

Rozen Maiden: Shinku 05

Being the fifth Rozen Maiden, Shinku's name could also be a play on the Japanese pronunciation of the word "cinq", which is French for the number five. Nevertheless, Shinku in Japanese could mean Reiner Rubin or Crimson.

Shinku is a true lady and a pacifist who doesn’t want to fight against her sisters. Her presence in the Sakurada home has led to other Rozen Maidens appearing there.

Rurouni Kenshin: Makimachi Misao

Born in Kyoto Prefecture in November 1863, Makimachi Misao is the granddaughter of the former Okashira of the Oniwabanshuu. She was in the care of the last leader, Shinomori Aoshi, until he, Han’nya, Shikijo, Beshimi, and Hyottoko left her to Kashiwazaki Nenji, also known as Okina of the Oniwabanshuu, when she was eight. She and Okina formed a strong bond, but in her mind, Aoshi was still the best.

I can’t believe there’s a cosplay for my favorite character from this classic series! I guess with the new live action movie coming out, fans won’t miss the chance to show their support through cosplay! Thanks again to Ingrid for sending this in!

Ore no Imoto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai: Goko Ruri aka Kuroneko 04

In the anime, Ruri began calling Kosaka Kyosuke “Nii-san” because of two reasons: one is her wish to have an older brother and the other is simply to annoy Kosaka Kirino. However, it was also revealed that she was hinting some affection towards Kyosuke, as she later gives him a kiss on the cheek. In the light novels, Kuroneko became Kyosuke’s first lover by the seventh volume, but they broke up in the very next book.

There’s no way Kuroneko is this cute! But she is! Another awesome cosplay from Comiket 81! I really love this maid outfit version of her more than her gothic one. Thanks again to Miki for sending this in!

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Kyubey

A genderless extra terrestrial being posing as a familiar, Kyubey can grant any wish to a certain girl on the condition that she becomes a magical girl who fights against witches. When the chosen girl makes a contract with him, he extracts her soul and places it inside a Soul Gem, reconstructing their body into a more resistant shell able to withstand magical battles. He can only be seen or heard by magical girls as well as those with magical potential.
