Did you guys know that a new Rozen Maiden anime is out? It’s called “Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen”, but the story’s not connected to the previous seasons. I will definitely be checking this out! Thanks to 2chmod for sending this in!

Rozen Maiden: Shinku 06

In the manga, Shinku has always been a pacifist and did not like the idea of having to fight her sisters in order to win the Alice Game. She did attack Suigintou when she was angry with her, but she still doesn’t want any of her sisters to be lifeless. When she defeated Hinaichigo, Shinku took her in as her servant instead of absorbing her Rosa Mystica.

Rozen Maiden Träumend: Kirakishou and Souseiseki

Sometime after Suigintou stole Souseiseki’s Rosa Mystica, Kirakishou used Souseiseki’s body to materialize in the not-wound world. Before she could complete her materialization however, Jun of this world formed a contract with Souseiseki’s ring, causing her body to reject both Kirakishou and her Rosa Mystica. Suigintou later returned Souseiseki’s Rosa Mystica and told her to keep it until she finds an answer to the Alice Game.

Rozen Maiden Träumend: Kirakishou 02

Kirakishou is the true seventh Rozen Maiden Doll whom Barasuishou was modeled after. According to Shinku, "Her left eye can see everything, but reflects nothing, while her right eye is an empty hole, with a white rose growing out of it." In the anime, Kirakishou’s shoulders are not ball-jointed, presumably because she is an entity that only exists in the N-Field.

Rozen Maiden: Shinku 05

Being the fifth Rozen Maiden, Shinku's name could also be a play on the Japanese pronunciation of the word "cinq", which is French for the number five. Nevertheless, Shinku in Japanese could mean Reiner Rubin or Crimson.

Shinku is a true lady and a pacifist who doesn’t want to fight against her sisters. Her presence in the Sakurada home has led to other Rozen Maidens appearing there.

A really cute Shinku from Comiket 81! It looks like her dress is made of velvet! Not to mention that her face looks like porcelain! A true doll! Thanks to Andrew for sending this in!

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 06

WARNING: This article contains spoilers. Please read at your own risk!

In order to return to their world, Souseiseki, who was brought back to life thanks to her sister’s sacrifice, convinced Suigintou to return the Rosa Mystica to their rightful owners. Suigintou agreed, which in turn allowed Suiseiseki to come back to life. Together, they managed to restore order to both worlds.

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 05

When Suiseiseki made Jun form a contract with her, she used Souseiseki's ring which allowed Souseiseki to break free from Kirakishou's control. However, she was incomplete as she lacked her Rosa Mystica which was in Suigintou’s possession. In the end, Suiseiseki gave her own Rosa Mystica to save her beloved sister.

Rozen Maiden: Hinaichigo 02

In the manga, Odille Fosset took Hinaichigo from Jun Sakurada when she revealed a ring that appeared to be from Hinaichigo. Although Jun assures Hinaichigo that she could stay with whomever she wishes, she unconsciously decides to go with Odille. It is later revealed that Odille is the granddaughter of Corinne, Hinaichigo's previous owner.

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 04

In the latest manga chapters of Rozen Maiden, Suiseiseki traveled to an alternate dimension in order to protect Souseiseki’s possessed body from being destroyed by Shinku and Suigintou. Though Suiseiseki tends to avoid the Alice Game as much as possible, she forced Jun to make a contract using her sister’s ring in an attempt to revive her.

Rozen Maiden: Hinaichigo

The 6th and most childlike doll, Hinaichigo controls strawberry vines and has the artificial spirit known as Berrybell. She is the first rozen maiden to lose in the Alice Game, but Shinku decided to make her one of her servants instead.

She loves daifuku and Hanamaru Hamburger, rather, a hamburger patty topped with fried egg in the shape of a flower. She also loves drawing and Detective Kun Kun like Shinku.

Rozen Maiden: Suigintou and Shinku

The main characters from Rozen Maiden, Shinku posses the appearance and powers of "Alice", the perfect girl. Their Creator himself acknowledges her, and shares to her a secret; a very important secret about the Alice game.

On the other hand, Suigintou is no where near perfect, as she is an incomplete doll. She does, however, posses the strongest desire and determination to be the chosen one.

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 03

Suiseiseki is the third Rozen Maiden doll and she and her twin are called “gardeners” because of their ability to communicate with plants. This ability is also extended to tending for a human’s “soul tree”, representing what a person is really like deep inside.

But most people know her for her habit of saying “desu” at the end of almost every sentence.

Beautiful cosplay! I’m always amazed at the details of the costumes of Rozen Maiden cosplayers. Really great work on this one!

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 02

One of the few dolls who oppose the Alice Game, Suiseiseki is the older twin of Souseiseki who values her sisters more than becoming Alice. She has difficulty expressing that love towards others and tends to insult them instead.

You might recognize this cosplayer from Singapore… her name is Aisling and I featured her as Hinamori Momo from Bleach back in January. This is only her second cosplay attempt, and I think it would be safe to say we hope to see more of her, yes?

Rozen Maiden Träumend: Barasuishou 02

The doll who’s appearance commenced the "true" beginning of the Alice Game, Barasuishou is an imitation of the 7th Rozen Maiden Doll, Kirakishou, created by Enju, Rozen’s jealous apprentice. Her eyepatch is said to seal her emotions as she is speculated to be quite insane.

Sadly, despite winning against the 6 rozen maidens, Barasuishou’s body could not handle the Rosa Mystica and her body crumbled to pieces.

Pretty cosplayer! She definitely does Barasuishou justice. And did you know that Barasuishou is actually an anime exclusive character?

Rozen Maiden Träumend: Kanaria

An adorable doll with an eccentric personality, Kanaria constantly speaks in third person and loves plotting on how she will get her sisters’ Rosae Mystica, but she has yet to succeed. She is the second Rozen Maiden doll, and uses a little violin as her weapon of choice. She also has the tendency of ending her sentences with "kashira" meaning "I wonder" or "maybe"

Rozen Maiden: Suigintou 04

Suigintou is the only Rozen Maiden with wings. In the manga, it’s explained that these wings are considered to be flaws, because it created cracks on her back. However, Suigintou is considered to be one of the most powerful Rozen Maiden dolls because she has no actual need of a medium to use her powers. She is also the only doll to have been defeated and revived three times.

Rozen Maiden: Suigintou 03

Considered to be the first Rozen Maiden Doll, Suigintou was an incomplete creation who was able to move without being granted a Rosa Mystica.

In her awakening, she was weak and could barely walk, but Shinku decided to help her out of pity.

Suigintou began hating Shinku when she found out she had lied to her about being able to meet father. When Souseiseki killed her, Rozen gave her a Rosa Mystica and it was only then that she became a true Rozen Maiden. Sadly, she misunderstood Shinku’s intentions and thought she had left her to die in order to take her Rosa Mystica, which she never had in the first place.

Pretty cosplay! In fact, I’d say all three Suigintou cosplayers are pretty, don’t you think?

Rozen Maiden: Shinku 03

This is probably the most unique way to portray Shinku. We’ve had 2 versions so far, but neither of them made Shinku look the way she truly is: a ball jointed doll.

There was an anime episode wherein Shinku had to have her clothes washed, and this is how she looked until she got her clothes back. I can’t remember it too well anymore, but I want to watch the anime again.

Rozen Maiden Träumend: Barasuishou and Kirakishou

The fake and the real Rozen Maiden… The girl with the siver hair and purple dress is Barasuishou, an apprentice’s attempt to surpass his Master’s work, namely the seventh Rozen Maiden, Kirakishou.

Unfortunately, the anime doesn’t reveal much about the Kirakishou. Rozen Maiden Träumend focused more on the apprentice, and sadly, even though Barasuishou was able to attain all the Rosae Mysticae, her body could not contain them. She died in her “father’s” arms, the apprentice of the Master known as Enju.

She is probably the most adorable Shinku I’ve ever seen! She looks so young and so… doll-like! I want to just pick her up and bring her home!

Erm… Ok, that would technically be kidnapping, but I hope you guys know what I actually meant…

She’s just so cute! This will be a tough Shinku cosplay to beat, even for Arisa Mizuhara’s version of Shinku!

Wouldn’t it be adorable to see someone carrying her around like the way Sakurada Jun carries Shinku?

Ah, yes… I am blinded by cuteness… Kids cosplaying is always the best.
