Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge: Hsien-Ko (Lei-Lei)

Hsien-Ko, also known as Lei-Lei in the Japanese version, first appeared in “Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge”. Her character is based on the Chinese hopping vampire, the Jiang Shi, who are actually more like zombies than vampires as the Western world knows them.

Hsien-Ko has an older twin sister named Mei-Ling, who is called Lin-Lin in the Japan. The two appear to be fraternal twins as they do not share the same appearance. However, Hsien-Ko had always appeared to be a Jiang Shi while her sister was among the living.

Well that certainly explains why her skin is blue in the game! She supposedly the undead! But I think she’s cute enough (and busty enough) that the guys won’t complain about the lack of blue make up, yes? Thanks to Vagabond for sharing this!

Darkstalkers: Lilith Aensland 03

The body Lilith received from Jedah was the image of what Lilith wanted to be - an imitation of Morrigan, but she couldn’t become Morrigan completely. Fans speculated that her childish look possibly comes from her own feelings of not being a perfect existence, like a girl who has yet to become a woman. However, it is said what with the right amount of power and belief, Lilith could even become a man if she wished to become one with Morrigan.

Well there’s an idea… Lilith as a man might be a great start for a new fan fiction. Although if that were to really happen in the game, fans might either be disappointed or very supportive. Thanks to Janice for sending this in!

In the manga version of Darkstalkers by UDON Comics, Morrigan is a brash, 300-year-old succubus who doesn’t care much about her responsibilities as the future ruler of the Makai Realm. Rather, she would often visit the human world and does as she pleases, often at the expense of the men she seduces. Her father, Belial, does not approve of her actions which gets Morrigan’s two servants, Lucien and Mudo, into a lot of trouble.

I have to admit, that is one sexy succubus. You might want to check out Cyborg Nene’s World Cosplay account because she has a ton of very impressive cosplays that I’m sure many will enjoy. Thanks to Terrence for sending this in!

After Morrigan was drawn into the human world by Pyron's strange power, she returned to her home with the news of her father’s death. She was the next successor to the Aensland throne but shirks her responsibility as Makai’s ruler, wishing only to live as she did before. She eventually meets Lilith and merged with her, fully restoring Morrigan’s power.

Darkstalkers: Lilith Aensland 02

Lilith Aensland was released and given a body by the demon Jedah in the third installment of Darkstalkers. In exchange for her freedom, Lilith must lure Morrigan and the other Darkstalkers to him. Lilith enjoyed her life until she realized she was only part of another person, which is Morrigan Aensland. Lilith knows she has limited time finding her “soul mate” but even though Morrigan feels Lilith to be a part of her, Morrigan does not need Lilith as badly as Lilith needs her.

Very beautiful cosplay of Lilith! I wasn’t aware there was a blue version, but I like this because she has almost the same colored hair as Morrigan does. Thanks to Lamento for sending this in!

Darkstalkers: Morrigan Aensland

The adopted daughter of Belial Aensland, Morrigan was born as an extremely powerful succubus who is said to be among the “S” class. She was so strong that Belial sealed two-thirds of her power; one-third in himself which will be returned to her upon his death, and one-third in a pocket dimension, which later became its own being named Lilith. Morrigan is ignorant of this fact and thought her life in the Aensland castle dull and boring, thus frequently visiting the human world to look for entertainment.

Darkstalkers: Lilith Aensland

Lilith is a cheerful succubus who was original part of Morrigan's soul. She began to have consciousness 10 years after she was sealed away by her adoptive father, Belial. Although her feelings began to develop after learning more about her world, Makai, these feelings are more primal and primitive, only wishing to return home.

So her hair color's wrong, but you have to admit, she's a beautiful Lilith. I love the bat print details on her stockings. Wonderful work!

Darkstalkers: Felicia 02

The similarities of this costume and the first one makes me wonder whether or not this is a pre-made cosplay outfit in Japan. Which really wouldn’t be all that surprising with all the cosplayers there.

But even still, I suppose each cosplayer has her own appeal in portraying the character.

So, where everyone’s favorite cat girl game character is concern, would you chose this cosplayer or the previous one? I like them both very much. Must be the cat ears…

Darkstalkers: Felicia

Oh dear…

Who would have thought you could find a decent looking Felicia cosplay that is actually safe for child viewing?

I mean, really…

The original version of this character has a more revealing look.

But anyway…

Felicia is a cat girl character who first appeared in the game “Darkstalkers” aka “Vampires” in Japan. In the game, she is raised by a Catholic nun named Rose. When Rose died, Felicia went off to fulfill her dream of becoming a musical performer. She eventually finds other cat girls like herself and was able to create a band.

In the events of Darkstalkers 3, she began to think more about others than herself. It’s then that Rose’s influence came to light, as Felicia eventually became a nun herself and created an orphanage named “Felicity House”.

In the words of the loyal White-haired Journalist himself: “What madness is this?!”
