Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Abe no Yasuaki 02

It was later revealed in the series that Abe no Yauaki is actually an artificial human created by the famous sorcerer, Abe no Seimei, by combining his “yin” to his wife’s “yang”. As such, there was something lacking in Yasuaki, and Seimei placed a charm on his face to compensate for this. Because he lacks emotions of his own, he is highly sensitive to the Priestess Akane’s thoughts and emotional state. On one occasion, Yasuaki shed tears with a blank face when Akane became very upset.

Japanese cosplayer Ichiha (イチハ) makes a lovely Yasuaki, don’t you you think? I managed to find most of the books from this series, I’m just lacking the earlier volumes now! But I really love the artwork on the manga. Maybe I should pick up the anime too.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Motomiya Akane and Minamoto no Yorihisa

A serious individual and a samurai of the Imperial Court, Minamoto no Yorihisa swore fealty to Motomiya Akane as his master and will therefore always obey Akane’s demands. When the Hachiyou were cursed by Akuram’s arrows, Yorihisa followed Akane into the Demon Cave, even though he could no longer remember her as the Priestess of the White Dragon God. Akane later praised Yorihisa for his strength, much to Akuram’s annoyance and anger.

This looks like it could have been a scene from the anime or manga! I haven’t finished reading the entire series yet, but I do like Yorihisa very much. Please do pay the cosplayers’ profiles, Shiina (椎和) and Tsuki-kage Akira (つきかげあきら), a visit for more of their photos!

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Akuram

Akuram is the leader of the Oni Clan and the one who summoned Motomiya Akane to Kyo. He wanted to utilize her power to gain full domination over the capital. It is said that Akuram is the most powerful leader of the Oni Clan, so much so that even his close associates are unsure of how to deal with it.

Yoshino Shiyui (吉野珠衣) makes a very beautiful Akuram. It’s how I imagined him to be in real life – a beautiful, androgynous being. Please visit her profile for more of her photos!

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Fuji-hime and Motomiya Akane

A cheerful, high school freshman, Motomiya Akane was summoned into the world of Kyo to become the Ryuujin no Miko, the Priestess of the Dragon God. She is the only one able to communicate with the Ryuujin, and Fuji-hime, being the last descendent of the Star Clan is destined to assist her. Although Fuji-hime is only 10 years old, she is quite the responsible young lady.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Shirin

The only surviving female among the Oni Clan, Shirin has strong feelings for their leader, Akuram, and is willing to do anything for him. However, this affection appears to be one-sided, as Akuram seems to only be interested in the Priestess of the White Dragon God, Motomiya Akane. She is thereby extremely jealous of Akane, and on one occasion,  even went behind Akuram’s back and assaulted the priestess.

I feel bad for her. Shirin seems to be quite sincere when it comes to her feelings for Akuram, but he doesn’t even look at her. I hope she’ll manage to find someone who will love her in the end. Please visit Yugi’s Profile for more of her amazing cosplays!

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de - Hachiyou Shou: Abe no Yasuaki

A serious and seemingly emotionless individual, Abe no Yasuaki is a gifted apprentice of the famous sorcerer, Abe no Seimei. Although he is quite capable as a sorcerer, Yasuaki does not understand a lot of things, and is rather straightforward, almost childlike when conversing with others. He is later granted the powers of one of the Eight Guardians as the Genbu of Earth.

I’ve recently picked up this manga series and I’m quite impressed with the high level of details in the artwork! Yasuaki is definitely one of my favorites , but it’s really hard to choose only one from all of the characters in the series.
