Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater: Big Boss

In 1964, Big Boss (who was still known by his real name, Jack, at the time), took part in the Virtuous Mission as a member of the CIA's FOX unit. His was to rescue defecting Soviet scientist, Nikolai Stephanovich Sokolov, but unfortunately failed due to the defection of The Boss. As a result, he was imprisoned by the U.S. Government while recuperating in intensive care.

Vampire Hunter D: D

Renowned for his consummate skill and unearthly grace, D is a dhampir, born from a vampire father and a human mother, the ideal vampire hunter. His mixed lineage forces him to be an outsider, but he possesses most of the strengths of the Nobility and only mild levels of their common weaknesses. Although he is able to live as a “normal” human, his unearthly beauty and exceptionally powerful aura jeopardizes his cover.

Soul Eater: Elizabeth "Liz" Thompson, Death the Kid, and Patricia "Patty" Thompson

Due to Death the Kid's severe obsessive-compulsive disorder for symmetry, he chose to wield twin demon guns known as the Thompson sisters. Liz and Patty take the form of semi-automatic pistols that compress Kid’s soul wavelength to create energy bullets ranging from destructive blasts to painful, non-wound-inducing shots. Kid refuses to fight using one while the other is missing, but is able to fight without them nonetheless. He can also summon a flying skateboard known as Beelzebub for transportation as well as a weapon.

Beautiful cosplay! Too bad it’s a fairly small image and we can’t see the details too well. Thanks to Aerie for this contribution!

When Natalie Parisi sent me an email regarding a 2011 Cosplay Calendar for Charity, I had to admit, I was quite skeptical at first. Mainly because I’ve had many requests like this in the past, and none seemed legitimate aside from this one:

Gyakuten Saiban 4: Naruhodo Minuki 02

Apollo's assistant in Gyakuten Saiban 4, Trucy is a bright and energetic teenager who is a bit of a trickster. She has the ability to read a person’s body language without an aide like Apollo’s bracelet. Her name in both English and Japanese mean “truth” or “to see through”.

Final Fantasy X: Lulu 02

Born on the island of Besaid, Lulu is a stern and scathing young woman who is nonetheless caring towards others. She grew up with Wakka, Yuna, and Wakka’s younger brother, Chappu, with whom she had a romantic relationship with. Lulu was particularly harsh to Tidus when she first met him, but she gradually changed her opinion as the story progressed.

Normally, I wouldn’t even feature something like this on Cosplay Holic, but there’s something very sexy about this photo… I’m not particularly sure why, but I really love it! Thanks to Wins for sending this!

Magic Knight Rayearth: Guru Clef

The chief of all sorcerers in Cephiro and formerly Princess Emeraude's attendant, Guru Clef acted as a guide for Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu into becoming the Legendary Magic Knights. After Princess Emeraude died, he and all the other magicians of Cephiro used their willpower to create a castle to hold all the inhabitants of Cephiro. He became the leader of his people temporarily until a new Pillar could be found. Although thoughtful and mysterious, Guru Clef is kind-hearted, good-natured, and selfless.

Junjou Romantica: Usami Akihiko

A popular author and the youngest recipient of the distinguished Naomori Award, Usami Akihiko, nicknamed “Usagi”, is a long time friend of Takahashi Takahiro’s. He tutored Tahkahiro’s younger brother, Misaki, in order to prepare him for the upcoming entrance exams. He was very close to Takahiro, and became upset to find out that he was engaged and soon to be married.

Bleach: Soi Fon 03

Captain of the 2nd Division and current Commander in Chief of the Secret Mobile Corps known as Onmitsukido, Soi Fon is a hard worker who believes strongly in following orders. She applies similar battle techniques to her master, Shihoin Yoruichi, engaging her opponents by using hand-to-hand combat with Shunko abilities. After asking Yoruichi why she did not take her when she left Soul Society, Yoruichi’s answer was not heard, but the two made amends.

Inuyasha: Inuyasha 04

Born to a dog demon father and a human mother, Inuyasha is a half-demon who once wished to become a full demon by the using the Shikon Jewel. After meeting Kikyo, the miko who guards the jewel, Inuyasha fell in love and changed his mind, wishing to become human instead so that he could live by her side. Naraku unfortunately manipulates them into believing that they betrayed one another, causing the death of Kikyo and leaving Inuyasha in suspended animation for 50 years.

An elite Contractor with Meister Code BK-201, Hei acts as the spy and assassin in his team, swiftly dealing death without fail. Yin acts as a support personnel, using her observation ability to locate individuals for Hei’s team. Their names are colors with Yin meaning Silver and Hei meaning Black.

Kuroshitsuji II: Alois Trancy 02

Alois trancy acts as a foil to Ciel Phantomhive; a literary term for a character who contrasts with another character (in this case, Ciel) in order to highlight the various features of the other character’s personality. Ciel actually cares for people and causes while Alois is psychologically scarred, pathologically abusive, and calculative. By appearance, Ciel is seemingly indifferent, while Alois is quite energetic.
