Trinity Blood: Augusta Vradica / Seth Nightroad 04

In the manga, Seth Nightroad was first introduced as a tea seller in Andolu, a small area where Terrans reside in the New Human Empire. She convinces Ion to buy tea from her and later helps them locate Mimir’s medicine shop. She later introduces herself to Ion and Esther, and Ion comments how her name sounds like a boy’s name, wondering is her parents were hoping for a boy. Seth shrugs, saying she already has two older brothers, secretly pertaining to Cain and Abel.

At the end of the Night Lords Arc, Ion is horrified at the revelation that the tea seller he addressed as “girl” was actually the Empress, Augusta Vradica.

Trinity Blood: Ion Fortuna 02

In the beginning of the series, Ion Fortuna was a selfish Methuselah who loathed the human race. However, after he was betrayed by his foster brother, Radu Barvon, for the Rosenkreuz Orden, Ion finds comfort in his friendship with Esther Blanchett. His attitude towards humans changes considerably, and when the Puppet Master forced him into a bloodthirsty rage, Ion attempted to commit suicide in order to stop himself from killing Esther.

Trinity Blood: Augusta Vradica / Seth Nightroad 02

The youngest of the Nightroad siblings, Seth Nightroad is a member of the Alliance Aerospace Navy and the third Crusnik. Seth viewed Lilith as a mother figure and loves Abel in a sisterly affection, but for some reason, she seemed to have an aversion to Cain. Nevertheless, when Cain was fatally wounded in an accident, Seth injected him with 100% Crusnik, restoring his life, even if it changed him for the worse.

One of my loyal readers, Syaza, had always loved this character and once told me she wanted to cosplay her in this ceremonial outfit. That was a few years ago, and it looks like she finally achieved her dream cosplay! And what an amazing and beautiful cosplay this is! Trinity Blood: Radu Barvon

The Baron of Luxor and Ion Fortuna's foster brother, Radu was chosen by the Empress to accompany Ion in a mission to negotiate with the Vatican. The visit did not go as planned as a terrorist bomb attack made the Vatican speculate that Ion came to kill Cardinal Caterina Sforza. Father Abel and Sister Esther later met with Ion and realized that Radu was behind the sabotage, as he was given orders by the Rozenkreuz Orden to kill both Ion and Caterina so as to start a war between the Empire and the Vatican.

He looks absolutely stunning! I love these uniforms they wear in the Empire. I might consider having one made for me one of these days. Thanks to Trista for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Mirka Fortuna

As the Empress’ most trusted friend and adviser, Mirka Fortuna is given many duties and high ranking positions in the Empire. She is more commonly known as the Duchess of Moldova, but she is also the Head of the Imperial Secret Council, the Prime Minister of the Empire, and a keeper of Secret History. She is one of the few people in the Empire who knows he Empress’ true appearance, and acted as a decoy for the Empress in order to find out who was behind the assassination plot against her Majesty.

Trinity Blood: Caterina Sforza

Caterina Sforza is the strong-willed Duchess of Milan who knows no fear and shows strong resolve in her beliefs. She is the head of the Ministry of Holy Affairs and leads the AX Agency, making her Father Abel Nightroad’s boss. She is the older sister of the 399th Pope of Rome, his Holiness, Alessandro XVIII, and is willing to die in order to protect him.

A rather stunning cosplay of the beloved, head-strong Duchess! I still can’t believe how much attention to detail these cosplayers have when it comes to this series. She looks absolutely amazing! Thanks to Toph for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Shahrazad Al-Rahman

After her Uncle Süleyman’s betrayal of Augusta Vladica, Shahrazad was exiled from the Empire along with her servants. However, Archbishop D’annunzio attacked them and used Shahra’s servants in order to blackmail her into kidnapping and killing Esther Blanchett. Shahra is first seen bring flowers to Esther after her grand speech in Istavan.

And of course, this would be the ball gown Shahra was wearing during her first meeting with Esther. German cosplayer Abyssinian makes a wonderful looking Shahra and I really enjoyed this character in the manga. Thanks again to Ophelia for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Astharoshe Asran

The Viscountess of Odessa and Duchess of Kiev, Astharoshe “Astha” Asran is a Methuselah who is an undercover agent for the New Human Empire. She is a direct individual who does not tolerate any form of nonsense. She once had a low opinion on terrans thanks to the Empire’s propaganda and has had little exposure to them. However, after her mission to capture Endre Kourza in Venice, her views have slowly began to change little by little.

A very detailed cosplay of Astha by Vietnamese cosplayer, Poka! I’m surprised to see this cosplayer was done in February 2013 at Touch Fes. Trinity Blood is quite an old series, isn’t it? Thanks to Gracie for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Abel Nightroad

Abel Nightroad is a very compassionate, albeit clumsy and absent-minded, Catholic priest who is an AX Agent Special Division of the Ministry of Holy Affairs. In reality, Abel is actually a Crusnik, a vampire that feeds on the blood of other vampires. As a member of the Arcanum Cella Ex Dono Dei, Latin for the Papal State Affairs Special Operations Section, Abel serves directly under Cardinal Caterina Sforza, the sister of His Holiness, Alessandro XVIII, who is the 399th Pope of Rome.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the Vatican does have secret agents like those featured in Trinity Blood. But anyway, I’ve been looking for a great looking Abel for quite a while, and I believe Russian cosplayer Faeryx looks and plays the part very well. Thanks to Ysabel for sending this in!

One of the younger Methuselah, Ion Fortuna is the Earl of Memphis and the Empress’ Swords Keeper. As the grandson of Mirka Fortuna, Ion is very proud of his race and the Empire. He was introduced in Trinity Blood as the Imperial Messenger of the Empire, sent by the Empress to negotiate with the Vatican.

Trinity Blood: Esther Blanchett 02

Sister Esther Blanchett met Father Abel Nightroad when he visited Saint Matthias Church investigating Count Gyula Kadar’s tyranny over Istavan. Esther was revealed to be part of a band of rebels known as the Partisans who were against Gyula and were working to oust him at any cost. Count Gyula then sent a vampire to attack the clergy of the church, and his City Military Police took the initiative to bomb Saint Matthias Church, killing Bishop Laura Vitez in the process.

Cute cosplay by Kipi! I didn’t know Esther had clothing like this until I went through Kipi’s World Cosplay account trying to find out what character she’s cosplaying. It’s definitely a nice change from her usual habit! Thanks again to Stilzkin for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Esther Blanchett

The legitimate granddaughter of the Queen of Albion, Esther Blanchett was brought to Istvan shortly after her birth in order to keep her hidden from those who wish to assassinate her. Her father, Prince Gilbert, was unfortunately killed a little after she was born. Edward White took her to an orphanage in Istvan where she was raised to be a nun by Bishop Laura Vitez, who loved Esther like her own daughter.

Trinity Blood: Lilith Sahl

The prototype for Cain, Abel, and Seth, Lilith is the fourth of the test tube babies created for the Mars Colonization Project by the United Nations' Scientists. She was in charge of the Health Care area and usually the voice of reason during conflicts among the Nightroad siblings. During the war, Lilith sided with the Vatican as she wished to save humanity while the three Nightroad siblings sided with the Methuselah, also known as “vampires”.

Lilith was never shown in the anime, but I’ve recently been reading the manga and she seems like a really powerful individual. In any case, this is only the cropped version of Middeneaht’s work, but Adelhaid makes a very beautiful Lilith. Thanks again to Niena for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Cain Nightroad and Dietrich von Lohengrin

In the manga, Cain Nightroad seems to be very concerned for Abel Nightroad’s well being for reasons unknown. He showed great happiness when he was told by Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer that Abel is well after his confrontation with Dietrich von Lohengrin in the Byzantium nuclear launch facility. Deitrich did mention during the fight that “a certain someone” would be furious if her were to kill Abel.

I guess we’ll never know the real ending for the series, seeing the original novelist, Yoshida Sunao, passed away before he could write the ending. Such a shame. Awesome cosplay by Stay as Cain, but I unfortunately don’t know who is with her. Thanks again to Ophelia for sending this in!

Trinity Blood: Augusta Vradica aka Seth Nightroad

The youngest of the Nightroad siblings, Seth became the Empress Augusta Vradica of the New Human Empire. 800 years ago, she led the Methuselah to safety and helped restore natural life to the land where the Empire eventually rose. Her people see her as their mother, and she does them as her children. No one’s actually seen what she looks like though, because of the heavy veils she puts on when she speaks to them and she uses a voice modifier as well. Because of this, she can easily move around the city without being noticed.

Awesome cosplay! The details on the costume is quite stunning and impressive! Oh, did I mention that the character looks like a little girl but she’s actually 900 years old? Comes with being a crusnik I guess!

Trinity Blood: Cain Nightroad

The elder twin brother of Abel Nightroad and the main Antagonist of the story, Cain is the oldest of the Test Tube Babies who was once the beloved leader of the Mars Colonization project.

Because of an accident, his younger brother Seth injected him with Crusnik nanomachines, a sort of vaccine that turns normal humans into vampires that feed on the blood of other vampires. This saved Cain’s life, but it also drew him into insanity. His decision to support the Vampire Returners and to murder prototype Lilith Sahl angered Abel and Seth, killing Cain in the process. But it seems even turning Cain’s Crusnik body into ashes is still not enough to stop him, as he is able to regenerate later on in the series.

This is a most impressive cosplay of Cain! It’s rather controversial that Cain looks angelic and Abel looks demonic, when the two of them play opposite roles! But you really have to love the details of his armor!

Trinity Blood: Dietrich von Lohengrin

The sadistic Puppet Master who thinks of people as merely his toys, Dietrich von Lohengrin is described to be a genius with an angelic face and a demonic heart. He is also the only known Terran in the Rosen Kreuz Orden.

As a young child, his father had realized Dietrich’s evil nature and tried to kill him. Dietrich ended up killing his father as well as his entire family at a young age. He joined Rosen Kreuz Orden later at the age of 7 and became a high ranking official in the age of 10.

Such an impressive cosplay! I found this in a website that features a ton of Trinity Blood cosplays! Make sure you guys visit! I’ll post a few more from them soon.

Trinity Blood: Father Tres Iqus

The mechanical soldier created by Vatican Scientist, Professor Gepetto Garibaldi, Father Tres Iqus is one of ten “Killing Dolls” to be used for an attempted rebellion. He was spared from destruction and recruited by Cardinal Caterina Sfroza for AX, the Minister of Holy Affairs’ Special Operations Group.

Father Tres is part mechanical and part organic, and he maintains his body by taking vitamins. You can tell straight off that he’s a cyborg, because he always answers questions with either “negative” or “positive”, though there are times when he shows some emotions and even a sense of humor.

Lovely cosplay! Especially the guns..! I’m not sure if Father Tres wears sunglasses though… Hm…
