D. Gray-man: Lenalee Lee 05

Here’s another character idea for you guys, and the anime is making a comeback too!

Lenalee’s anti-Akuma weapon, known as the Dark Boots, enable her to run at high speeds, jump great heights, walk on water, create whirlwinds, and use sound wares as footholds. At one point, Lenalee had an encounter with a Level 3 Akuma, which forced her to evoke more power than she could handle. With her life in danger, her Innocence became a crystal, protecting Lenalee from harm. This behavior was previously unheard of in Innocence.

Introducing Japanese cosplayer, Might (舞斗)! I love her action shot of Lenalee! It looks like she was caught mid air by a high speed camera!

D. Gray-man: Allen Walker 09

Despite the troubling life his master and General, Cross Marian, forced him to live, Allen Walker still has unassuming and borderline naive traits. His cursed Pentacle Eye allows him to see the human souls bound to the Akuma, which makes Allen consider the Akuma to be just as important to him as humans. In his attempt to become “a destroyer who can save”, Allen swore his left arm to saving the Akuma and his right to saving humans.

This is probably one of the most famous among the Allen Walker cosplay photos out there as Vikki puts it, and I’m very happy to say that Kyna Sylvia has identified the cosplayer to be Noeru (諾) from China! D. Gray-man: Allen Walker 08

Kind, generous, and very polite, Allen Walker has a tendency to sacrifice himself for the sake of others. More often than not, he is willing to let his body and emotions take devastating blows if it will help or save someone else. However, this trait has angered several of his comrades and friends, especially Kanda Yu and Lenalee Lee.

I haven’t seen a lot of Kipi cosplaying male characters before, so this one came as a pleasant surprise! I think most of her fans would prefer her cosplaying female characters, but I think this is a good side of her too! Thanks to Darren for sending this in!

Lavi’s anti-akuma weapon, simply known as Tettsui, literally means the “Iron Hammer”. Its full name is the Ozuchi Kozuchi, “Big Hammer, Little Hammer”, appropriately named as it is capable of growing and extending to undefined sizes and lengths. Although this affects its weight, this does not affect Lavi himself, allowing him to use Tettsui even if it’s in its full size with seemingly effortless ease. The weapon also allows him to use “seals” that control several elements of nature.

The cosplayer looks rather handsome, but I do my best not to say that just in case the cosplayer’s actually a girl. Thanks again to Daniela for sending this in!

D. Gray-man: Lavi, Allen Walker, and Kanda Yu

As both the Earl and the Order began their search for the most powerful Innocence known as the Heart, the Earl started killing off the Order’s most powerful Exorcists: the Generals. To protect them, the Order attempted to bring the Generals back to headquarters, and Allen along with three other exorcists were sent in search for the missing General Cross. The mission nearly caused Allen and Lenalee their lives, but were saved by their Innocence, leading the Earl, Bookman and his assistant Lavi to believe that one of them possessed the Great Heart.

Another well-done piece by Goku Lover 3 as Allen and Amleya as Kanda! Now all we need to know is who the cosplayer behind Lavi is. Thanks again to Goku Lover 3 for allowing to post this!

D. Gray-man: Allen Walker 06

Allen Walker is a rare, Parasite-type Exorcists, who controls the Innocence within his left arm. His arm went through three stages before it was able to reach its true form. Originally, it appeared as a giant claw with massive strength an speed. It later evolved into a canon-like structure capable of shooting rod-shaped objects, as well as emitting a beam-like blade from the end. The final form, known as the Crown Clown, gave Allen a fur-collared cloak and a claw-like hand.

The cosplayer only has a normal arm here, but I thought writing about the forms of his Innocence would be appropriate since the first thing I noticed about this photo was the bloody hand. It’s making me flinch a little actually. Thanks again to Michelle for sending this in!

D. Gray-Man: Kanda Yu 05

Second Exorcist Kanda Yu refuses to die until he finds a “certain person”, revealed to be a female Exorcist whose brain was placed into fellow Second Exorcist, Alma Karma. Kanda was the second Second Exorcist to awaken and was initially hostile towards Alma, but the two eventually became friends. When Kanda began to remember his past life, the people behind the Synthetic Disciple Project made the decision to terminate him, but Alma managed to rescue him.

D. Gray-man: Allen Walker 05

Allen Walker loves his foster father, Mana Walker and is greatly influenced by him. He is said to be wearing a “mask of Mana” because, after being traumatized by Mana’s death, Allen began adapting his mannerisms and personality as his own. Allen promised his father that he would keep moving forward on the path of his choosing, and to never give up. This promise has kept Allen optimistic no matter what happens. Although Allen spoke in a formal tone like Mana, he began speaking less formally as the series progressed, reverting back to the way he used to be.

This photograph looks so emotional and effective, even though we can’t see the cosplayer face. A great find! Thanks to Julia for sending this!

D. Gray-man: Lavi 03

In recent chapters of the D. Gray-man manga, Lavi and Bookman were apparently kidnapped by the Noah Clan. Parasites from the Noah were put into Lavi in an attempt to retrieve information about the 14th Noah from Bookman.

D. Gray-man: Komui Lee

The older brother of Lenalee, Komui Lee is often shown to be a whimsical and goofy character, but he is also somewhat sadistic and occasionally, borderline maniacal. He drinks coffee nonstop, but he only drinks the Blue Mountain brand. He is lazy and often does his best to avoid work, including running away from the office.

Awesome cosplay by Hyuri ヒューリィ (ひゅーりぃ)! And yes, he is a guy cosplayer cosplaying guy characters! Very rare to find these days. Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this in!

Lenalee’s anti-akuma weapon, the Dark Boots, take the form of black, thigh-high boots that give her the ability to run at high speeds, walk on water, and use sound waves as footholds. They are made up of Lenalee’s blood and will repair themselves as long as her has blood inside her body. When the Boots are in their dormant state, however, they form blood-red anklets, one on each of her ankles.

Cute Lenalee by Kipi! Those aren’t really thigh-high boots, but I don’t think anyone would really complain! Thanks again to Lily for sending this in!

Lenalee, who went insane when she was separated from her brother, Komui, fights for him and her friends, knowing she has a home to return to. Her perception of the “world” consists of her friends and family and whenever someone she cares for dies, she deems that a part of her world has also been destroyed.

Lenalee has known Kanda Yu since childhood, and often ran to him for comfort whenever her brother was busy. She met Allen Walker when he first arrived at the Order and became attached to him, hinting that she may have feelings for Allen.

Beautiful cosplay! Although some people may argue she has the wrong colored hair, I think that’s a minor setback. Thanks to Vicky for sending this in!

A kind-hearted and friendly person, Allen Walker has the ability to see the souls of the akuma which led to his decision to live and fight for them. He eventually realizes that human souls also need salvation and devoted himself to both causes. His wish to save humanity frustrates fellow exorcist Kanda Yu, who believes that exorcists are not saviors.

A cheerful exorcist of mixed race, Lavi's goal since childhood is to become a Bookman; a person who records the hidden history of the world. He disregarded his real name and took on 48 different aliases before settling on the name “Lavi”. He originally worked along the Black Order in order to fulfill his duty as a Bookman but slowly becomes more attached to his friends and teammates.

Awesome looking Lavi! And I’m glad Rangiku sent this with the information on who he’s cosplaying as since I’m not familiar with D. Gray-Man at all. Otherwise, he might have ended up in the Unknown Section again!

D. Gray-Man: Kanda Yu 04

Kanda Yu is a Second Exorcist, created in the Synthetic Disciple Project Central forced onto the Chan and Epstein families nine years past. Because of this, he can see lotus flowers blooming wherever he goes. In the anime adaptation, these flowers act as an hourglass indicating his lifespan. The flowers begin to lose its petals as he approaches his death.

Cosplay Holic reader Materialistique sent this over and needless to say, I was shocked. It may be just a profile picture, but you can really tell that it's Kanda from D. Gray-Man! Thanks Materialistique!

Now the only problem is, the cosplayer's name is also Miyoc, but she is the President of CNcos - Chinese New COS group from Shanghai and not the Miyoc I have tagged in Cosplay Holic. Since making a new tag in all caps is not going to work in Blogger, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks guys!

D. Gray-man: Road Kamelot

Known as the “Dreams” of Noah, Road Kamelot if the eldest child and ninth disciple who can travel through dimensions without using Noah’s Ark. She is the only one capable of programming Noah’s Ark as she is the oldest, despite her teenage-like appearance. Although she hates humans, she grows fond of Allen Walker, often seen kissing him when she meets him.

Beautiful cosplay! Her eyes are really captivating, and it makes me wonder where she got those contact lenses. Love the expression too, great work!

D. Gray-Man: Kanda Yu and Allen Walker

A pair of comrades who always seem to end up at each other's throats, Kanda Yu was the first Exorcist Allen Walker met in the Black Order Headquarters. While Allen's anti-akuma weapon is the parasitic Crowned Clown that takes the shape of either a giant arm, or a fur cape and claw, Kanda has Mugen, the katana he's holding.

I had to crop the photo so that I could make it fit in my blog, but I hope the photographer doesn't mind too much! It's a really nice shot of the two cosplayers, who both did an awesome job at their costumes and accessories. Great work!

D. Gray-man: Kanda Yu

I didn't think I'd be coming across any unknown cosplays for a while, but this caught my attention after it was sent to me by a reader.

I wouldn't even think he was cosplaying, but it seems the mark on his chest is pretty significant. I have no idea what it means, and I'm not familiar with any anime or manga associated with it.

Thoughts anyone?

When she was young, Lenalee’s parents were killed, causing her to see the world very differently. Lenalee went insane when she was separated from her brother, Komui Lee, as she is forced to become an exorcist for having the ability to use Innocence. Her sanity was only restored when Komui became the Chinese Supervisor of the Black Order.

She makes a very cute Lenalee. I haven’t seen this anime yet, but it seems pretty popular with all the cosplays going around. I think I’ll put this on my to-watch list.
