Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Alter

While Saber Alter still takes her duty as king seriously, she no longer believes in the ideals set for herself and her people. She does believe that it is her obligation to lead her people for the sake of those who lost their lives because of her. The same is not true for the Holy Grail War, as she could only hold a slight amount of pity towards those left alive.

Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Lily 05

2013 has come and gone, and so has Cosplay Holic’s old Hakuoki layout! I’ve always wanted to feature Saber Lily for the site’s layout, but I didn’t really find a cosplayer that I particularly liked until now.

The cosplayer in the banner is a Japanese cosplayer known as Ageha on World Cosplay. Her profile was submitted to me by Karen, and I knew that I had to feature her one day. Now she is Cosplay Holic’s featured cosplayer for the new year, 2014!

This layout is not yet the final look that I’ll be going for, so please mind your head for broken codes and falling tags!

You may have also noticed that the site’s been revamped. I’ll be featuring bigger photos from now on, I hope it will be to your liking!

Saber Lily’s design was inspired from the dress Caster placed on her when Saber was captured in the events that occurred on “Unlimited Blade Works”. The addition of “Lily” to her name refers to her skirt, as it was designed to resemble the petals of a lily flower. Although there is no official background story for her, Kinoko Nasu and Urobuchi Gen joked about her being a version of Saber fully tamed by Caster.

Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Lily 03

Saber Lily is an alternate version of Saber featured as an unlockable costume in Fate/Unlimited Codes. She is the pure and sweet “Princess of Knights”, a complete opposite of the blackened Saber Alter. Saber Lily is often depicted wielding the Caliburn rather than Excalibur in most of the game’s art.

A rather stunning photo of Chinese cosplayer, Coral Feng! The details of her cosplay along with the great photography really makes this look like it was official promotional material for Unlimited Codes. Thanks to Maya-chan for sending this in!

Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Lily 02

There is still no official background for Saber Lily, but another fan speculation states this is how Saber would probably look is she never had to hide her gender when she was alive. In Battle Moon Wars, this was how Saber looked when she was Kohaku’s Servant.

I think Saber Lily is still Saber, but it would be nice if there was some background story for her too like Dark Saber. Thanks to Belia for sending this!

Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Lily

Little is known about Saber Lily, aside from the fact that she is officially another version of Saber. Fans speculate that she is quite possibly the direct opposite of Dark Saber from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, but there is no real history behind her appearance.

None that we know of as of yet anyway.
