Ao no Exorcist: Okumura Rin 03

Unlike his younger twin Yukio, Rin is immature and reckless, which often times leads others into thinking he is the younger one of the two. He is very open with his friends, but when some of them found out about his Demon heritage, they became afraid of him, thinking that he was unstable and therefore dangerous. Rin appears to have a soft spot for animals too, as he fought against Shiratori Reiji and his delinquent gang because they were shooting down pigeons.

I love the effects on this image! I need to learn how to render fire too, since one of my characters is a fire angel. Thanks again to Robins for suggesting this!

Ao no Exorcist: Okumura Yukio 03

Okumura Yukio and his older twin brother Rin, are often seen arguing, but they do care about each other quite a lot. Yukio often berates Rin for his impulsiveness, but the truth is, Yukio is afraid that his brother would be consumed by his demonic powers. In the anime, Yukio eventually becomes a demon himself just like his brother, but in the manga, he attains “Satan’s Eyes”, but it was never explained what this ability entails.

I really do love characters with glasses, don’t you? It makes them look intelligent, and fans of this series all know how smart Yukio is. Thanks to Robins for sending this in!

Ao no Exorcist: Okumura Rin and Okumura Yukio 02

At the funeral of his guardian Father Fujimoto Shiro, Okumura Rin encounters Mephisto Pheles, an old friend and acquaintance of Fujimoto’s. Although Mephisto was originally ordered to assassinate Rin, he instead agreed with Rin’s wish of becoming an exorcist and enrolled him in True Cross Academy. Little did Rin know that his brother, Okumura Yukio, is already a veteran Exorcist and will soon become one of his teachers.

Ao no Exorcist: Okumura Rin and Okumura Yukio

Upon the discovery that the woman impregnated by Satan was going to have twins, it was believed that Satan's powers would be split between them. However, because Yukio's body was weaker compared to Rin’s, Yukio did not inherit any of Satan's powers and was born fully human, giving all of Satan's powers to Rin. Yukio did receive a spirit wound at birth from his brother, which allowed him to be aware of demons for as long as he can remember.

Poor Rin must have fallen asleep from studying manga so hard. I think Yukio will let him off the hook this time. Thanks to Chris for sending this and to さむきえるけー for sharing it!

Ao no Exorcist: Kirigakure Shura

Late for the party! Photos from Japan’s Summer Comiket 2011 are probably all over the net by now, but I had to schedule a lot of cosplays before I started on this event!

In any case, let’s get started with something hot! It was literally scorching hot during the Comiket, but the cosplayers didn’t seem to mind, especially this girl! But who is this character she cosplaying as?
