Hiiro no Kakera: Komura Yuuichi

An upperclassman of Kasuga Tamaki's, Komura Yuuichi is one of the five guardians who is a descendent of the nine-tailed fox. Yuuichi specializes in the use of illusions and spirit fire. He is very quiet, emotionless, and has the ability to sleep anywhere at anytime.

I first thought this was O-chan, but I’m glad anon corrected me in saying he is Yuuichi instead! Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this in!

Kuroshitsuji: Sebastian Michaelis 06

The Phantomhive butler that can do everything no matter how impossible it may seem, Sebastian Michaelis is demon bound to Ciel Phantomhive by a Faustian contract. His demonic self has yet to be revealed, but a depiction of sharp teeth, high-heeled boots, and elongated nails have been given. His present appearance bears a striking resemblance to Ciel’s father, Lord Vincent Phantomhive.

Vampire Knight: Shiki Senri

One of the youngest students in the Night Class, Shiki Senri works as a model alongside Touya Rima during the day while attending his classes at night. He is often seen hunting Level E vampires; once with Takuma and another with Rima. It is later revealed that Shiki is actually the son of Kuran Rido, and the cousin of Kaname and Yuki.

Awesome Shiki cosplay by Karakuri-nin! The expression on the cosplayer’s face is absolutely priceless, as Shiki always looks bored whenever he needs to drink blood tablets. Thanks to Grace for sending this!

Bakemonogatari: Sengoku Nadeko

Tuskihi's friend back in elementary school, Sengoku Nadeko is a shy girl who can be easily amused. She used to play with Koyomi a lot whenever she was invited by his sisters to come over. Koyomi is also the person who ended up helping Nadeko in breaking her fatal curse.

Bleach: Shihoin Yoruichi 03

A century before the start of the series, Shihoin Yoruichi was one of the most intimidating and well-respected person in Soul Society. She was the squad captain of the 2nd Division, the leader of the Secret Mobile Corps, and the head of a high ranking noble house. Yoruichi has never been seen weilding a zanpakuto, although a kodachi-like blade was shown in some of the flashbacks.

Farewell, Saya…

Many of you have probably already heard the news, but I didn’t want to post this until I confirmed it myself… Sadly, it appears the rumor regarding Miss Saya’s untimely death appears to be true.

According to her little sister, Miss Saya (沙谷) passed away at 5:27 am on the 15th of March due to an accident. There are no further details as of yet, and there isn’t much we can do at this point because we don’t even know what Miss Saya’s real name is.

In her official blog, however, Miss Saya did confirm that she was not affected by the recent earthquake, not the tsunami that is devastating Japan up until now. Her facebook fanpage has also confirmed that her death was not caused by suicide, nor is the news any sort of sick April Fool’s joke; as there have been rumors that Saya was retiring from cosplaying.

For me, I am a huge fan of Miss Saya’s. And as a tribute to her, I would like to ask my readers to help me find some of her cosplay photos that I have yet to feature on Cosplay Holic for the entire month of April (You can contribute by sending me an email via kurohiko at gmail dot com). Although I can’t feature her every single day, I would like to do as much as I can to show that we, her fans, will never forget her.

Rest in peace, Miss Saya… I wish I had met you before you had gone… My thanks to Tina, St. Arcana, and Katserest for letting me know about this sad news.

Maiden Rose: Taki Reizen

Klaus con Wolfstadt, a soldier for one of the nations of the "Western Alliance", leaves his nation in order to become a knight to Taki Reizen, commander of the 15th division “Rozen Maiden” of the “Eurote” alliance and an enemy of the Western Alliance. With their nations at war, they not only have to fight in the war between their countries, but the war between themselves as well.

So how will the two settle their differences? I can’t write too much about it because it’s apparently a short manga, and a review can spoil everything! Thanks to Cherokee for sending this!

Having a completely antisocial life before she met Mukuro, Chrome Dokuro never opens up to anyone except the person who saved her life. Because of her nature, some people regard her with caution instead of pity. She only leans on Mukuro when she needs help, but later becomes determined to become stronger for the people she cares about.

Alice in Wonderland: The White Rabbit

The White Rabbit is a fictional character in Lewis Caroll’s book, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, which is also known in films as “Alice in Wonderland.” He is a herald-like servant of the King and Queen of Hearts in Wonderland, but his personality shifts between being pompous and obsequious.

Akusesu’s interpretation of the White Rabbit is absolutely breath-taking! I should have featured this during the Chinese New Year’s celebration as we are on the Year of the Rabbit this 2011. Thanks again to Cherry for sending this in!

Durarara!!: Heiwajima Shizuo 02

Quiet and nondescript when not angered, Heiwajima Shizuo has a very short fuse and, although he claims to hate violence, has incredible strength when fighting. Despite his unrefined fighting skills with road signs, trash cans, and vending machines as his weapons of choice, he is considered to be the strongest fighter in the series. He is also capable of often superhuman parkour moves, a skill he obtained naturally from years of hunting down Orihara Izaya.

Often called "Pizza Girl" by Lelouch and Kallen, C.C. has a strong penchant for pizza, especially Pizza Hut’s, who sponsored the show in Japan. She constantly orders pizzas to Lelouch’s house using his credit card to pay for it. She also carries around a stuff toy of “Cheese-kun”, the company’s mascot in Japan.
