Carciphona: Blackbird

An assassin who caused the Prohibition of Magic, Blackbird is known for slaying many esteemed sorcerers, warriors, and high-ranking individuals without fail. Although her motives behind the killings are currently unknown, she is said to be only human, yet possessed by demonic spirits. This may be the reason behind her abilities and homicidal tendencies.

HetemSenar makes such a perfect Blackbird, that I just had to feature her! It’s been almost a year since I asked for Shilin’s permission, but I hope this brings them both more fans anyway!

Rurouni Kenshin: Kashiwazaki Nenji a.k.a. Okina

A talented strategist and a strong fighter in his own right, Kashizawa Nenji, better known as “Okina”, is said to be the only equal of the former Oniwabanshu in terms of fighting. In fact, we was next in line to become the leader of the Oniwabanshu, but he nominated Shinomori Aoshi instead, stating that it was time for the young to lead the Oniwabanshu into the new era. His choice of weapons is a pair of steel tonfa, but has since retired from his days as a ninja.

Tanaka Min will be playing Okina in the next Rurouni Kenshin live action film! I’m not really familiar with this actor, but he definitely looks the part, wouldn’t you agree? Thanks again to Eric for sending this in!

According to the Drama CD’s, Saitou claims that he will take swords over women any day. In fact, he loves swords so much that he could talk about them for hours on end. In general, he is quite shy towards girls, but he always puts the safety of others above his own.

Kingdom Hearts: Roxas

Unlike other Nobodies, Roxas seems to possess real emotions. This is because when he and Sora were separated during Roxas’ creation, Ventus’ heart stayed with Roxas. He is somewhat similar to his counterpart, but there are also a few differences between them. For one thing, Roxas is less impulsive than Sora, yet he is quick-tempered, aggressive and blunt.

Future Diary: Amano Yukiteru and Gasai Yuno

When Amano Yukiteru was waiting at a bus station for Akise Aru to arrive, he was suddenly dragged away by Gasai Yuno to a bridal fair. They were welcomed by Kurusu Keigo’s wife, and they both got to dress up as bride and groom. The main event allowed Yuki and Yuno to rehearse the chapel ceremony, and although Yuki hesitated, he went through with it anyway. It is unknown as to whether he answered “yes” or “no” to that ultimate question.

If you haven’t guessed it yet, this is a scene from episode 10 of Future Diary. The cosplayers featured are Juliann Ysabel as Yuno and John Rey Sabangan as Yuki! Fate/Unlimited Codes: Saber Lily 05

2013 has come and gone, and so has Cosplay Holic’s old Hakuoki layout! I’ve always wanted to feature Saber Lily for the site’s layout, but I didn’t really find a cosplayer that I particularly liked until now.

The cosplayer in the banner is a Japanese cosplayer known as Ageha on World Cosplay. Her profile was submitted to me by Karen, and I knew that I had to feature her one day. Now she is Cosplay Holic’s featured cosplayer for the new year, 2014!

This layout is not yet the final look that I’ll be going for, so please mind your head for broken codes and falling tags!

You may have also noticed that the site’s been revamped. I’ll be featuring bigger photos from now on, I hope it will be to your liking!

Pokemon: Pikachu Gijinka

Pikachu is one of the species of Pokemon that can be captured, trained, and used in battle. According to series producer Tajiri Satoshi, the name “Pikachu” is derived from two Japanese sounds: “pika”, a sound of an electric spark, and “chu”, a sound a mouse makes. This pokemon, among many others, were conceived the Game Freak’s character development team, which were later finalized by artist Sugimori Ken.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, gijinka is a form on anthropomorphism, or the personification of non-human beings, objects, concepts, or phenomena. And what a cute Pikachu Gijinka this cosplayer makes! I bet many trainers would love to capture her! Thanks to Kai for sending this in!

Vocaloid 2: SF-A2 codename miki

SF-A2 codename miki debuted last December 2009 under Vocaloid 2, and is voiced by Japanese singer, Furukawa Miki. Although she is nicknamed “SF-A2 miki”, the meaning of SF-A2 was never officially defined.

In 2012, Miki was redesigned to look like she is made of inorganic material, turning her into an android. However, she still maintains a pre-teen appearance like her predecessors, Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin.

I’m not sure what she did with her arms and legs, but she definitely looks like a doll to me! Great detailing, and that ahoge defintely takes the cake! Thanks to Joanna for sending this in!
