Highly competitive in nature, Suzumiya Haruhi has a tendency to accept any challenge, regardless of difficulty or time constraint, without even a hint of hesitation. While her constant optimism and over-confidence make her seem arrogant, Haruhi seems to be unable to make any proper tactical decisions as she often rushes into things without any regard to her members. She has very high standards and won’t accept anything less than perfection from herself and her Brigade.

Very cute Haruhi cosplay! I always thought she was extremely bossy, but she does have her adorable side which she only shows to Kyon. Thanks again to Lirica for sending this in!

Final Fantasy IX: Vivi Ornitier

In the beginning of Final Fantasy IX, Vivi was a shy and gullible Black Mage, often stumbling over his speech and lacking self-confidence. He was afraid to use his magic even to save his friends because he believed he was incapable to do so. As time went on, his personality grew and he became much braver in the face of danger. Despite his new-found confidence, however, Vivi still questioned his existence throughout the game.

This is so cute! I’m wondering if this is a little kid cosplaying Vivi or an adult who is kneeling down. I’ve seen a lot of really good cosplays of smaller characters that were done that way. Thanks to Miriam for sending this in!

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance: Ayanami Rei and Makinami Mari Illustrious 02

When the Tenth Angel began its rampage, Mari hijacked Unit-02 in order to head out to fight Zeruel, activating Unit-02’s second best mode “The Beast”, thereby removing the unit’s restraints. In this mode, Mari successfully smashed through most of Zeruel’s multiple AT Fields, but was still unfortunately taken out by the Angel’s rapid extending blade-like arms.

It was then that Rei’s damaged Unit-00 emerged onto the battlefield and charged at Zeruel with an N² mine-armed missile. The battered Unit-02 tore through the Angel’s remaining AT Fields and Unit-00 threw Unit-02 out of the blast radius before the missile detonates.

Despite their combined effort, however, the missile failed to destroy Zeruel, and blew off Unit-00’s arms in the process.

Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~: Hijikata Toshizo 02

Fueled by rage after witnessing his fellow Shinsengumi warrior Inoue Genzaburo dead, Hijikata Toshizo decided to drink the Ochimizu and become a Rasetsu despite knowing the consequences simply to defeat Kazama Chikage. Even though Inoue had been killed by Satchou warriors of the Satsuma-Choushuu alliance, Hijikata blamed Chikage and started a duel as Chikage goads him.

A Message from the Admin: Philippine Cybercrime Prevention Act 10175

Hi guys! Mei again, your resident cosplay fanatic!

You’ve all probably heard of the new cybercrime prevention act in my country, the Philippines, and to be honest, I myself don’t really understand everything about it as of yet. However, with the law being unclear with regards to what would be considered “libel”, I don’t think I’ll be posting any new entries for a while.

You see, if I were to mistakenly write something or post something that’s considered “malicious”, whether it be towards the government or even a Filipino cosplayer/photographer, it could land me in jail for 12 years. Twelve Years. Just for blogging about cosplay.

Some of you have considered this blog to be very “malicious” for “stealing photos that aren’t yours” and “adding a link to the photos that aren’t yours”, even though I’ve tried to explain why I do what I do, and that you can request to change anything through comments or a simple email. Well, in less that 10 minutes, you can start suing me thanks to the new law, for anything I post on October 3, 2012 and onwards.

A little extreme? Maybe so, but unfortunately(?), 12 years is a chance I’m not willing to take.

And so, until my beloved country becomes a little clearer with what falls under “libel”? I think it’s time for Cosplay Holic to rest (until I manage to immigrate to another country that is!)

In Fate/Extra, Saber’s true identity is Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the Fifth Roman Emperor. She was a notorious tyrant who oppressed all religious forces, especially Christians, and the Roman Senate during 50 to 60 AD. Her rule was so devastating and destructive that some have theorized that the Book of Revelation was written as a reaction against said oppression.

Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~: Okita Souji 03

Driven by guilty for being incapacitated by tuberculosis, Okita Souji drank the elixir and became a Rasetsu in order to continue with his duties as the Captain of the First Division. Unfortunately, despite having accelerated healing, it does not completely cure his illness. It does, however, allow him to live out his final days somewhat normally, even if it would seem to be arguably shorter.

I’m sorry, but after I finished Souji’s route in the game, I felt really terrible. Then again, I don’t think any of the routes in Hakuoki ~Shinsengumi Kitan~ ended happily knowing some of your comrades died in the war. Anyway, thanks to Jenny for sending this in!

Kiki’s Delivery Service: Kiki and Jiji

As it is traditional for witches, Kiki left home when she turned 13 together with her loquacious black cat, Jiji. She arrived is the big city of Koriko and, despite her insecurity, managed to to find friends and a place to stay. In order to support herself, she uses the only witch skill she has, flying on a broom, and starts a delivery service.

I believe that’s Akira Itsuki on the left in the same cosplay I featured her in two weeks ago, but I’m not sure who that girl on the right side of the photo is. Please let me know so I can add a tag for her cosplay too! Thanks again to 4chanatic for sending this in!

Meet Popi, our ever-lovable a 13th grader who was transported from another dimension in order to become Serapi’s Silencer. Could he really become the savior of this realm (or get caught up with something else entirely)?
