Yu Yu Hakusho: Minamino Shuichi aka Kurama 08

I’m sorry, guys! Kurama is one of my most favorite characters, so I’ll be featuring him for Valentines' Day this year! And Atushi makes a lovely Kurama, wouldn’t you agree?

Unfortunately, something very good has come up; that is, something very good for me, but not so good with my keeping up with Cosplay Holic’s daily posts. So I’m really sorry if I miss a few days now and then, but I will continue to work hard to get through your emails. (All 150++ pending emails still waiting to be read!)

Final Fantasy X-2: Yuna 10

The fan reaction to Final Fantasy X convinced the developers to create a continuing story with Final Fantasy X-2. Costume designer Tsukamoto Tetsu stated that the radical design changes for Yuna reflected a huge cultural change. Script writer Nojima Kazushige added that Yuna’s new outfit was a “natural reaction to the heavy stuff she wore in FFX”. Because Yuna, Rikku, and Paine lived in a more carefree world in X-2, the designers wanted them to be able to dress up, a feature which became key to the gameplay.

She’s such a cute Yuna! But I wonder, isn’t this Saya? I’m not entirely sure though, but thanks to Pika-chan for sending this in!

Guilty Crown: Ouma Shu and Yuzuriha Inori

Two of the main characters in Guilty Crown, Shu is a socially awkward, second year high school student while Inori is a stoic vocalist of the group known as Egoist. They are members of the “Funeral Parlor” resistance group and became partners. Shu is in love with Inori, and Inori slowly began to show different types of emotions while working with Shu, eventually falling in love.

I’ve never seen or heard about this series before now. I wonder if it’s any good? Thanks to Meirin for sending this, which she found on Yam Yam’s Tumblr!

Uta no Prince-sama: Kurusu Syo and Tsukimiya Ringo

Kurusu Syo is a cheerful, energetic, violinist who is quite sensitive about his short stature. Although wearing a hat in class is against school policy, he managed to fool the S class’ homeroom teacher, Hyuuga Ryuuya, saying that his hat was a precious memento of his late grandfather’s.

Tsukimiya Ringo, on the other hand, is the A class’ homeroom teacher who is already a famous idol. He likes to cross-dress as a girl.

Awesome cosplay! And if you haven’t noticed yet, I’m quite addicted to this series right now. I just hope I don’t scare people off from Cosplay Holic! First found on Bebe Cair Levantar’s Tumblr!

Lamento: Beyond the Void: Rai

A bounty hunter who carries two swords, Rai is a silver-haired cat who wears a patch over his right eye. He is known to have a calm but arrogant personality, and is strict towards both himself and others.

I unfortunately know nothing else about the character aside from that. There’s not much to go on with this series, so I’ll trust Sapphirus’ information for now. I do know that the cosplayer is Stay though! Thanks again to Lily for sending this in!

D. Gray-man: Allen Walker 06

Allen Walker is a rare, Parasite-type Exorcists, who controls the Innocence within his left arm. His arm went through three stages before it was able to reach its true form. Originally, it appeared as a giant claw with massive strength an speed. It later evolved into a canon-like structure capable of shooting rod-shaped objects, as well as emitting a beam-like blade from the end. The final form, known as the Crown Clown, gave Allen a fur-collared cloak and a claw-like hand.

The cosplayer only has a normal arm here, but I thought writing about the forms of his Innocence would be appropriate since the first thing I noticed about this photo was the bloody hand. It’s making me flinch a little actually. Thanks again to Michelle for sending this in!

Hunter x Hunter: Kuroro Lucifer 03

The leader of the Phantom Troupe, Kuroro (Chrollo) Lucifer initially had six other homeless children from Meteor City to join his group. He later recruited more members in accordance to his ideal of exactly thirteen members including himself. The Phantom Troupe mainly committed acts of theft, but it is still unknown what the group does with the stolen objects.

That’s a pretty cool looking Kuroro, sitting in his chair in the middle of- well, nowhere! Just like in the anime and manga, right? Thanks again to Michelle for sending this in!

Air Gear: Wanijima Agito 04

As the manga developed, Agito grew to respect Ikki and his strength. In some scenes, Agito is shown to be very weak while he is asleep. This has something to do with his physique, as he is quite thin and short. It was later revealed that his strength comes from his motivation, willpower, and pride.

Not too sure if this photo is allowed on blogspot or not because of that finger, but this is very “in character” for the cosplayer to do. Hopefully, I won’t get banned for posting this. Thanks to Regal for sending this in!

Dragon Ball Z: Android 18, 16, and 17

In Episode 133 of Dragon Ball Z, “Nightmare Comes True”, Future Trunks and Vegeta searched the mountains for Dr. Gero’s laboratory. Future Trunks tried to warn Vegeta that the Androids were more powerful than he realized, but Vegeta paid him no heed.

Meanwhile, the remaining Z Fighters arrived at the North City and decided to split up to cover more ground. Krillin was attacked by Dr. Gero, but he managed to follow the Doctor to his laboratory and signaled the others. While the Z Fighters tried to break in, Dr. Gero activated Android 17 and Android 18; both of which were not really inclined to be under his control.

Well this is a cosplay you don’t get to see everyday. Dragon Ball is such a classic series after all, so seeing really great cosplays of the characters are quite rare these days. Thanks to Ruri for sending this in!

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Zero 02

When Lelouch Lamperouge formed the Order of the Black Knights, he took up the identity of Zero to lead them. Zero became a revolutionary and quickly gained popularity amongst the people who were against the Empire.

However, when Euphemia li Britannia the region under Mount Fuji the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, it effectively destroyed any possibility of the Black Knight’s rebellion. Acceptance would render them powerless and refusal would make them pariahs.

So what did Lelouch do? I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen the anime yet, but it was really a fascinating turn of events. Thanks to Ulysses for sending this in!

Claymore: Clare and Teresa

Clare became a Claymore in order to avenge the death of her childhood mentor, Teresa. Killing the “One-horned Monster” became her lifetime goal, but as warrior No. 47, she is considered to be the weakest of all 47 warriors. However, when Miria came face to face with Clare, she said, “It felt as if the strongest was standing before me.”

Final Fantasy X-2: Yuna and Rikku

Yuna journeyed through Spira in search of the truth behind a sphere containing a video of a man closely resembling Tidus held up in jail. Alongside the Gullwings group who always help people in need, Yuna discovered that the man from the sphere was not Tidus, but Shuyin, an unsent person who wished to destroy Spira as revenge for the death of his lover, Lenne. In the end, the Gullwings managed to stop Shuyin and, depending on the player’s development through the game, Yuna may or may not see Tidus once again.

Although we can’t see Fairytale Destruction’s and Ari XIII’s faces, there’s something very classy about this photo, wouldn’t you agree? Thanks again to Colleen for sending this in!
