Avatar: The Last Airbender: Cabbage Merchant and Ty Lee

Ty Lee is a cheerful and energetic girl who is close friends with Princess Azula and Mai. She specializes in hand-to-hand combat, utilizing a unique form of martial arts that attacks the pressure points on the human body. Striking certain points enables her to disrupt that person’s chi flow, temporarily paralyzing them and removing their ability to use bending.

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Cabbage Merchant

Known as “the cabbage merchant”, he is an unfortunate Earth Kingdom salesman specializing in… well, cabbages! He was a recurring character in the series and something of a running gag. His cabbages are usually destroyed or damaged by the other main characters, making him yell his infamous catchphrase, “My cabbages!”

I’m surprised this character has his own page in the Avatar Wiki! I guess he’s more famous than I thought! Thanks to Drops of Violet for plurking this!

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Azula

The 14-year-old, manipulative princess of the Fire Nation, Azula is a Firebending prodigy and one of the few living Firebenders capable of casting lightning. She is Zuko’s younger sister and is loyal only to her father, Fire Lord Ozai. She uses fear to control her relatives and friends but even though everyone admired her when she was young, her mother favored her older brother over her.

A beautiful display of Firebending without actual fire by *risachantag! According to her description, she used “Flowlights”, a bright LED glow poi for her fire. She won best solo skit during Manifest 2010. Thanks to Rivalry for suggesting this!

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Aang 02

Aang is a vegetarian. He refuses to eat meat because the Air Nomads taught him that all life is sacred, the same teachings in Buddhism and Taoism. He uses airbending techniques which are based on an “internal” Chinese martial art known as Baguazhang. His style focuses on circular movements and does not have many finishing moves, representing the unpredictability of air and peaceful nature of the Air Nomads.

This Aang is so cute! I wonder if he really shaved his head? And what did he use to paint the arrow on his head? Thanks to Leon for sending this in!

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Aang

The current incarnation of the spirit of the planet manifested in human form, Aang is known as the Avatar who is tasked to keep the Four Nations Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth at peace. As he is taught by the Air Nomads, Aang wishes to avoid fighting as much as possible. He develops a complex network of friends extending over all four nations during his journey to complete his task.
