A childhood friend of Van Fanel’s, Merle was at first extremely jealous of Hitomi as she became closer to Van. Eventually, she learns to accept Hitomi because she recognized Van’s feelings for Hitomi were that of true love. Nevertheless, Merle is devoted to Van and never hesitates to protect him at all costs.
Cosplayer Nemu (ネム) makes a very cute Merle! I’m beginning to miss watching this series more and more now. Thanks to Miyazaki for suggesting this!
