Sleeping Beauty: Maleficent

Maleficent is the antagonist of the 1959 Walt Disney film, “Sleeping Beauty” and an official Disney Villain. She is the self-proclaimed “Mistress of All Evil” who cursed the then infant Princess Aurora to her death before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, all because Maleficent was not invited to the royal christening. In the 2014 live-action motion picture, Maleficent cursed Aurora as a form of revenge against King Stefan, who betrayed and violated her in order to ascend the throne.

There was a lot of love and a lot of hate for the film, but I enjoyed Angelina Jolie’s version overall. Lindze  A’la Mode makes a fantastic Maleficent too! And photographer, Benny Lee, certainly pulled out all the stops for this particular photo. Thanks to Gerald for suggesting this!
