It’s someone’s birthday today in Sanrio, and I know just the present to send her.
Kurumi Nui is actually Kuromi’s human form. It’s incredibly rare to find good cosplays of Kurumi/Kuromi, but this is my pick from the bunch. She even has Kuromi’s Notebook in the corner.
Happy birthday, Kuromi! I hope you’re not too mad at Hello Kitty anymore. At least there are a lot of people cosplaying you, right? You’re quite pretty as a human, no wonder Hiiragi Keiichi fell in love with you!
The well-mannered young lady of the Lucky Star group, Takara Miyuki was the class president for her grade level in her first year. She prefers glasses over contact lenses because she’s afraid of putting the lenses into her eyes. Konata often teases her for embodying a large number of moe archetypes.This is the third Cloud cosplayer I’ve seen that’s taken my breath away.
It’s a simple shot, but very artistic. Cloud does have a tendency to go about by himself to think things through, and this is why I think this photo captures Cloud’s personality perfectly.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen pretty Senshi cosplayers. I’ve only got to see a couple of episodes of Sailormoon S, but I heard it was the best of the series. Anyway, great work on this! I really like her wig and eyes. It’s quite perfect, don’t you think?
But I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful her wig looks that I had to share it with everyone.
Then again, she could be from a game I don’t know of again, since I’m more familiar with anime than games, right?
So, does anyone have any guesses?

When I first heard about My Melody having an anime, I was skeptical. I mean… why would Sanrio create an anime series? And how good would it be?
You’d be pretty surprised at Onegai My melody’s Story line. It’s very… non-Sanrio like.
My Melody was able to save her using her own magic and they began to work together to keep Kuromi from succeeding in resurrecting the Spirit of Dark power. Uta also has the ability to power up the Melody Tact through her singing.
Cute cosplayer. I was able to find this thanks to Hiiragi Keiichi of Sanriotown! I have a few more pictures from the series I’d like to share, but I’ll post them some other time. I wouldn’t want to flood everyone with Onegai My Melody cosplays, even if we are in Sanriotown!
In her awakening, she was weak and could barely walk, but Shinku decided to help her out of pity.
Suigintou began hating Shinku when she found out she had lied to her about being able to meet father. When Souseiseki killed her, Rozen gave her a Rosa Mystica and it was only then that she became a true Rozen Maiden. Sadly, she misunderstood Shinku’s intentions and thought she had left her to die in order to take her Rosa Mystica, which she never had in the first place.
Pretty cosplay! In fact, I’d say all three Suigintou cosplayers are pretty, don’t you think?
Sometimes, I don’t understand why people feel the need to Photoshop images when the original is already impressive enough as it is.
Take this for example:
As you can see, she is quite pretty. So why would people still want to edit it?
Then again, it may have been merely for Photoshop practice. The edited version was actually made by Deviant Artist, Opeth Metal.
I don’t know about you guys, but I think I appreciate this original cosplay more now that I’ve seen the 2 versions. Metal’s photo manipulation was definitely impressive, but I like natural looking cosplays better.
Although… the color of the uniform varies. I’m not sure which color is right anymore, and this one is just… glaringly bright purple. Maybe in the manga it was in this hue?

Shindo Hikaru is an elementary school student with no interests in playing Go; until he meets Toya Akira and is pestered to end by Sai to play Go. He eventually becomes a professional Go player at the age of 14, a year behind his rival.
Part of Hikaru’s strength in playing Go is his “stupid” moves. He makes these mistakes in order to lure his opponent into making what looks like correct moves, which he then uses against them.
Pretty cool cosplay. It’s been more than a year since I lasted posted a Hikaru no Go cosplay, and I’m glad I found a good one. Nice job!

Heung Ying Ching 向映晴 is the cosplayer behind this adorable Wikipe-tan. She is a cosplayer from Hong Kong, and you’ll find more of her cosplays in her blog.
Actually, her costume reminds me of Yuzuki from Chobits. I guess the dark tights, full knee-length skirt, white apron, and white ribbon did it for me. The pigtails is fairly similar too, but she still stands as Wikipe-tan to me. Thanks 映晴!
Kaname then brings her to Cross Academy where she is adopted by the headmaster and given the name Yuki Cross.
Since then, she has looked highly upon Kaname. Yuki is very affectionate towards Kaname as she would to an older brother. Maybe something more.
This is a beautiful shot of the main characters of Vampire Knight. I love their expressions, and I think this cosplayer makes a nice rival for Stay. Nice job!

Chrome, or “Nagi” as she is known in her previous life, had an accident while trying to save a cat, leading to the loss of her right eye and some of her internal organs. By a chance of Fate, Rokudo Mokuro finds Chrome while he was taking a stroll in one of his illusions. He creates illusionary organs for her, allowing her to live.

I have no idea where this character is from, at all. I think it’s something from a more recent anime series… And I haven’t been watching any new ones lately. But maybe you guys have a better idea with the marks on the cosplayer’s face and the ring?

This cosplayer looks a little young. She reminds me of Souseiseki, but I don’t think she belongs in the Chibi Category. Most cosplayers use large fans made of paper or cloth, like this one, but I would love to see a huge iron fan just for the heck of it.
The similarities of this costume and the first one makes me wonder whether or not this is a pre-made cosplay outfit in Japan. Which really wouldn’t be all that surprising with all the cosplayers there.
Eigetsu passes the Imperial Exams at the age of 13 and became the governor of Sa Province along side Ko Shurei, making him the youngest governor appointed to office.
He’s one of my favorite characters in the series, next to Seiran and Ryuki. But I still think Seiran should have been Emperor… or ended up with Shurei at least. I’ve yet to find the second season for Saiunkoku Monogatari, so who knows what happened in the end?
I believe several people speculated this to be someone from Final Fantasy, though I’ve never really gotten her character name. From what I know about this image (aside from it sitting in my old hard drive for a while now), it was taken from PC Online and she’s a character from an MMO game.
Other than that, the background of the photo looks the same as Aerith Gainsborough’s from Final Fantasy VII. Taken at the same time in the same venue maybe?

Nova is an anime-only villainess created, not by CLAMP, but by Hirano Toshihiro. Her character design was made for a different anime which was never realized or produced.
I miss Magic Knight Rayearth. I hope there’s still a DVD of this somewhere. I never did get to see the ending of the 2nd season.
Kyouya’s (Klavier’s) older brother, Kirihito (Kristoph), is an old friend of Ryuichi’s (Phoenix’s). He is a perfectionist in every way, and even though he is cool and collected, he can be very intimidating in court… even to his own apprentice, Odoroki (Apollo). He is considered to be the best defense attorney after Ryuichi was disbarred for presenting falsified evidence.
This is one cool cosplay. I’m quite a big fan of Gyakuten Saiban, and even though the 4th wasn’t accepted much by hard core Phoenix Wright fans, I still appreciated it for its consistent near game play. Great job on this!
